Two hands reaching out to each other, holding a globe amidst a colorful cosmic background with the text 'Share Your World'.

Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! This is a prompt by Di at Pensitivity and it looks like fun, so I’m going to give it a go!

You can join in the fun here: Share Your World!

───── ⋆⋅The Questions⋅⋆ ─────

1. Did you ever keep a diary?
2. Do you use a calendar that is NOT on a computer/smartphone?
3. When was the last time you wrote a letter…… using pen and paper, not a computer.
4. If you had a column of 10 figures, could you add them up or would you need a calculator?

───── ⋆⋅My Answers⋅⋆ ─────

  1. I did. I kept one stuffed with secrets about boys, friends, and the future I thought I wanted. It felt like a private little world where I could say anything without worrying how it sounded.
  2. Yes, I do. I like seeing it right in front of me. There’s something grounding about flipping the page and marking the days myself. It feels more real than tapping a screen.
  3. It’s been years, although I still like the idea of getting a handwritten letter. There’s a quiet charm to it that email never quite captures.
  4. I’d reach for a calculator. I’m perfectly capable of adding them, but I can’t be bothered. It’s faster, cleaner, and I don’t have to double‑check myself.

Thank you, Di, for this great group of questions! This was fun!

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

My answers are pretty much the same as yours.
1. I never kept a diary, though in recent years I’ve kept a journal that gets one or two entries a week.
2. I do not. My wife keeps me updated on which doctor is when. Occasionally check my phone.
3. No letters in years. I wrote occasional letters to a couple of uncles, but that’s about it since I got email. Now I get about a hundred, make that hundreds, of emails daily.
4. I could run the numbers but would probably use my old calculator.

Hi there!

Our answers are very similar, aren’t they? I get so many emails, it’s hard to keep up with them.

Happy Thursday!

No dairies for me.
I use my phone calendar the most but paper also.
I haven’t written a letter in a very, very long time but I do send cards.
I add manually. I’ve find that it helps to keep my ageing brain more agile.
Cheers. 😊

Hi, Lynette!

I love your answers! I think it’s so nice that you send cards out to people. I enjoy getting cards very much, so I know this is a great thing you do. 😊

Cheers!

.
1 – Nope! I live my life in this very present moment, and I choose hold on to all of the wonderfulness in my heart.

2 – Yes; I like to write out my schedule.

3 – I don’t write letters per se, but I do send small handwritten notes to my loved ones by mail.

4 – I prefer to use a calculator. I could easily write them down and add them up, but a calculator is a lot quicker than I am.

That makes sense to live your life in the present. Although, I will admit, it’s sometimes fun to see my old entries from when I was a child.

Great answers!

1) I kept a diary when I was a teenager
2) I use the calendar on my computer, however, hubby uses one of those erasable calendars that sticks to the side of the refrig.
3) I don’t remember when I got a handwritten letter, though I got a handwritten thank you card from next our door neighbor for her birthday gift. I was pleasantly surprised.
4) I use the calculator on my computer. I can do the math, but it’s easier and faster.
Happy Tuesday! 😊

Hi, Eugi! Happy Tuesday! Love your answers! I have one of those calendars for the refrigerator, too. That was really nice to get a handwritten note.

1) Nope. But I do travel diaries/cryptic notes
2) Always analogue. Very seldom do I look at calendars on laptop or phone.
3) OMG. Likely 10 years ago. My handwriting is atrocious.
4) I add up manually.

Have a wonderful Tuesday Kymber. Allan

Love your answers and mine are almost the same. I never had a diary though. Never thought about writing down my thoughts.

Have a fabulous day and week, Kymber. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

I didn’t write every day, but I’d say I did most days. My diary was stuffed! lol

You have a fabulous day and week, too, my friend. Love and hugs. Lots and lots of scritches to the kittycats. 🌺🩷
