In the woods, where light and shadows play,
A lion swaggered with grand ballet.
“Look at meeeee,” he roared with a grin toward his pride,
“I’m the king of my castle and the countryside!”
But from the thicket, a cat flounced by,
With lazy leaps and a watchful eye.
“Dear friend,” she purred, “why do you bellow so loud?
I chase sunbeams, I also have my own crowd!”
The lion laughed, his mane in sunlight all aglow,
“Well, my dreams roam wild where true rivers flow!”
“We’re not so different,” the kitty winked with grace,
“We both bask in beauty, each at our own pace!”
