Arsinoë IV
In evening’s grasp, below, in shadows deep,
An ancient temple laments in sleep,
By the frosty pool, where murmurs sigh,
A princess hides, yet fears draw nigh.
Her sister’s rage, a serpent’s strike,
In betrayal’s grip, no heart to like,
As twilight devours the golden light,
In anguish lost, Arsinoë fades from sight.

Thank you, Kevin! I’m so glad you liked it.
You packed a lot into the poem — it feels like a story condensed down to two stanzas. Well crafted 🙂
