Grandma was a Quaker.
She never made a fuss.
She spoke soft, lived simple,
and somehow out‑stilled all of us.

nice Kymber! 💜💜 loved it! 🤗🤗🦋🦋
Such a lovely and gentle sentiment, Kymber.
Lovely words and sentiment 🙂
I have a 2x great grandma who was a Quaker but seemed to be more of the “walk softly and carry a big stick” type as she built quite a reputation around her sense of justice and what she would and wouldn’t put up with. Oh how I’d love to sit down to tea with her.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
Speaking softly and living simply is a virtue
I totally agree! 🙂 Thank you, Thomas.

Thank you, Jacqui!
Such a beautifully gentle and heartfelt piece. In just a few lines, you’ve captured the quiet strength and calming presence of a grandmother whose simplicity spoke louder than words ever could. The phrase “out-stilled all of us” is especially powerful—it conveys wisdom, peace, and emotional depth with such elegance.
