Jan, I don’t blame you one bit. Forty‑five days without rain and those temperatures would wear anyone down. A real downpour would feel like a gift at this point. I hope you get one soon, even a short one, just enough to break the heat and give everything a chance to breathe again.
After more than two months of dry weather, we had torrential rain yesterday. That was GREAT. Everyone and everything breathed a sight of relief.

Oh how I wish for rain. It is 105 degrees. It was 106 yesterday. 105 tomorrow and Friday according to the Weather Channel. Then 104 on Saturday and 107 on Sunday. They predict 100+ the entire rest of the month, just like all of July. Please can we have some rain.
Lovely image and poem, Kymber! 💖 We’ve had many torrential downpours this summer, which aren’t a lot of fun, but at least the grass is green in August. 😄
I hope you get some rain soon. It was pretty wet here, so this shot fit the mood. Thanks for hosting Wordless Wednesday, Sandee. Love and hugs to you, and scritches to your kitties.🩷

A beautiful image, and poem! 🌹🌹💜💜
Thank you so much, Carol Anne. 🩷🌺🌦️
Oh, what we wouldn’t give for a torrential downpour! We are moving toward 45 days of no rain and weeks of temps above 100. We are baking down here.

Thomas, that heat sounds brutal. I hope you get a break soon, because days like that wear on a person.
cozy, summer rainy days are my favorite
Mine, too. I love sitting on the porch, watching it rain.

Beautiful photo, and I love how you captured the reviving and cleansing freshness of rain, Kymber. Beautiful photo and poem.
Thank you, Suzette. That rain had a way of rinsing the whole yard awake, and I’m glad the photo and haiku carried that feeling.
Excellent!

Thank you so much! Hey, now that is something to have green grass in August. I get what you mean as it’s usually brown and crunchy by now here. lol🩷🌺
You’re welcome! 🙂 Yup, by August we usually have that same brown, crunchy landscape. Looks much better this year. 😀
I think so, too. 😀😊
A very wonderful haiku, Kymber! 👍☺️
Thank you so much. I’m glad you like it. 😊
You’re most welcome, Kymber ☺️

I so agree with you on that! Thank you. 😊🌦️
A lovely summer day. ❤️
Thank you, John. 🩷
My sis sent a pic of her neighborhood similar to this. Pretty dang wet!
It must’ve been quite a storm. Everything was drenched here too.
