Two hands reaching out to each other, holding a globe amidst a colorful cosmic background with the text 'Share Your World'.

Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! This is a prompt by Di at Pensitivity and it looks like fun, so I’m going to give it a go!

You can join in the fun here: Share Your World!

───── ⋆⋅The Questions⋅⋆ ─────

1.  What was your favourite TV show as a kid?
2.  Do you have a favourite ‘tipple’? (alcoholic drink, or something when you are out for a meal etc)
3.  Is there a movie you can watch again and again and still enjoy?
4.  Did you have a favourite toy as a child? Or perhaps one you wanted and never got?

───── ⋆⋅My Answers⋅⋆ ─────

  1. Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. I was convinced he was talking directly to me, personally, by name, as if he’d been briefed on my entire four‑year‑old life. I’d sit there nodding solemnly, thinking, Yes, Mr. Rogers, I too have feelings about the crayon factory episode.
  2. Unsweetened iced tea. I order it like it’s a sophisticated cocktail, even though it’s just leaves pretending to be interesting.
  3. The Wizard of Oz. I’ve watched it so many times I still brace myself for flying monkeys whenever a bird flaps too fast.
  4. My Mrs. Beasley doll from my sixth birthday. I was obsessed with Buffy on Family Affair and watched her every morning, so getting that doll felt like winning the lottery. And I still have her.

Thank you, Di, for this great group of questions! This was fun!

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

HR Puffinstuff! I loved the variety show setup and especially Treasure Island. Who didn’t have a crush on Jan-Michael Vincent?
A margarita on date night (normally Thursday night)
Top Gun, Purple Rain, Tombstone, The Rose -so many!
I loved my Chrissy Doll. She had hair you could make longer by pulling it from the top of her head. Funny, I wish I could do that now with my thin, old hair.

Fun answers! Unsweetened ice tea is my mainstay drink all day. ..The TV show Family Affair was so good, and I remember that doll. But I was already grown up when it came on. Same with Mr. Rogers, but my girls like them a lot too 🙂

What was your favourite TV show as a kid? I Love Lucy and Gunsmoke.
Do you have a favourite ‘tipple’? (alcoholic drink, or something when you are out for a meal etc) Modelo beer with Mexican food and a glass of champagne with Italian.
Is there a movie you can watch again and again and still enjoy? 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Did you have a favourite toy as a child? Or perhaps one you wanted and never got? No. My childhood was pretty dismal.

Have a fabulous day and week, Kymber. Love and hugs. ♥

Thank you, Sandee. I Love Lucy and Gunsmoke are such classics, and they still hold up. Your drink pairings sound perfect, especially the champagne with Italian food. 2001 is one of those films that rewards every rewatch. I’m sorry your childhood was difficult. I appreciate you sharing your answers with me. I hope your day and week are gentle and bright. Love and hugs back to you.

Thanks for joining in Kymber. I used to enjoy lemon tea. but it was always too sweet in later life.

Thank you, Di. Lemon tea has a lovely brightness, though I understand how the sweetness can become too much over time. I’ve settled into the unsweetened side of things myself. I appreciate you putting together SYW each week. Your questions are always a pleasure to answer.

Great answers, Kymber! Unsweetened iced tea sounds delicious, but I have never tried it. However, I’ve tried flavored carbonated soda drinks, such as strawberry, mangoes, and kiwi, and they’re so tasty! I love your taste in movies and TV shows.

Thank you, Aptivi. You have the most colorful drink combinations. Unsweetened iced tea is simple but refreshing, and your fruit sodas sound like they’d brighten any day. I’m glad you enjoyed the answers, and it’s fun to share a love of good movies and shows with you.

You’re most welcome, Kymber. Thank you so much; those fruit sodas are indeed refreshing, and they’re always served cold. I hope to try the iced tea soon. And thank you for sharing the love of good shows and movies with me! ☺️
