A colorful graphic featuring two cartoon cats, one orange and one black, on a grassy hill with flowers and a blue sky. The text reads 'Friendly Fill-Ins' and mentions 'Hosted by Four-Legged Furballs & 15andmeowing'.

Each week Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

───── ⋆⋅Here are this week’s phrases⋅⋆ ─────
1. ___________________________sparks my creativity.
2. ______________________zaps my energy.
3. My dream _________ would have _________.
4. _________ is the silliest way I’ve injured myself.

───── ⋆⋅Here are my answers⋅⋆ ─────
1. Watching people and quietly inventing their backstories sparks my creativity.
2. Small talk with no escape route zaps my energy.
3. My dream evening would have quiet, good light, and a cat who isn’t plotting anything.
4. Walking headfirst into a tree while saying goodbye to the neighbor boy is the silliest way I’ve injured myself. My dad claimed it was proof I needed to keep my eyes forward, not on the boys.

Thank you, Ellen and Lorianne!

And thank you so much, kind friends, for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

Allan, your number four made me laugh. Apparently walking headfirst into things while distracted is more common than I thought.

Happy Sunday!

Small talk with no end in sight also zaps my energy 😵‍💫🤣, especially if the other person is doing all the talking.

Love the Qa and As! My answer for the last one is risque so I’ll just say that it involved a male gogo dancer and was totally worth the twisted ankle!

Fun reading your answers! It is fun to make up stories about people we see in public places, and I’ve done the same. Yes, that is a strange way to get hurt, running into a tree! haha what your dad said. 🙂

Kymber August 21, 2026 - 4:10 pm

Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed them. Making up little stories about people is one of my favorite quiet amusements, and that tree incident still makes me laugh. My dad’s comment has stayed with me all these years.😂

Hey Kymber. Here are mine

Driving on back roads
Walking through Walmart with those fluorescent lights
Body would stay like an 18 yo up until the very end
I had a bike with highrise handlebars and a banana seat. I took off the front tire, forgot to retighten the nuts. Went over a jump ramp, wheel came off, over the handlebars, skidded on my chest on the asphalt. Mom: “Ah, you’re OK, go get the bactine.” 😂

Your answers were great. Re #1, Don Henley and Glenn Frye were once sitting at a sidewalk cafe in LA and a nearby table had an old man and a beautiful young woman. The latter kept shooting looks all around. “Man,” said Frye. “Look at those Lyin’ Eyes.” Hmm.. 🎶 😎

I enjoyed reading these. The Walmart one made me smile, and that bike story sounded painful in the way childhood accidents always were. Your mom’s response felt familiar. I remember having to fetch the Bactine, too. LOLOL The Lyin’ Eyes bit was fun to picture, and I liked the way you tied it into the question. Thanks for sharing yours.
