Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.
So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
.
───── ⋆⋅Round #98⋅⋆ ─────
1. What tiny inconvenience instantly ruins your mood more than it should?
2. What’s a smell you’d bottle if you could, even though no one else would understand why?
3. What’s a habit you have that would confuse an alien observing you?
───── ⋆⋅Here are my answers⋅⋆ ─────
- When a website decides to glitch for no reason, it ruins my mood instantly. If a page freezes or a layout stretches into something ridiculous, I feel my patience vanish and I want to close everything and walk away.
- I’d bottle the smell of early‑morning air after a summer storm. It has that cool, quiet sweetness that feels like the world hit reset. No one else would think it’s anything special, but it always stops me in my tracks.
- A habit that would confuse an alien is how often I refresh a page even when nothing is wrong. I’ll check comments, reload the dashboard, glance at the same screen twice, then do it again as if something magical might appear. An alien would probably assume it’s a ritual.

And now it’s your turn. If you’d rather just read, that’s perfectly fine. A quick hello would be lovely, and quiet lurkers are always welcome. xo
We’re coming up on our 100th Get to Know You very soon! Look for something special that day!
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

I love the fresh smell in the morning after a storm, too. 😊 The smell i would bottle up if I could is the sweet smell of a newborn baby (particularly my children when they were babies). Oh my heart! 🥹🥰💜
My tiny inconvenience that ruins my mood is if if my cellphone ringer is on. It triggers my anxiety, so I keep it on vibrate and keep minimumphone notifications turned on. 🫣 And honestly, that’d probably also be the habit i have that confuses an alien! 😆
Good morning, and happy timezones! I like your answers. Let’s see what I can come up with.
1) When something doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. It could be an app or website, but it could also be something mechanical. Another one is when Sonic gets the drink order wrong, or a Door Dash restaurant order is wrong, either something made wrong or items left out. In the grand scheme of things, those are all “first world problems.”
2) Old book smell. But I think there are others who would understand why.
3) Checking email or text messages every five minutes, if I’m hoping someone will reply to something.
Thank you so much! Here’s my entry. I hope you like my answers.

Have a wonderful Thursday! ☺️
I know what you mean about the tech glitches. There are so many! I’ve given up letting them ruin my mood.
When I’m watching tv and it locks up right in the middle of what I was watching.
Coffee brewing.
Blowing bubbles when I’m chewing gum.
I’m not sure if this counts but I’ll say paying shipping when I can get it without. Somehow $30 without shipping feels better than $25 with $5 shipping.
Chocolate chip cookies
3.Reading the same percentage of 2 books at the same time.
I’m sure I can come up with better answers for 1 and 3 but that’s what I’ve got right now.
Hey, your answers are great, Bestie!
I understand that about shipping. For sure.
Oh, yes, I would buy that bottled aroma!
I think it’s amazing you can do that. I only read one book at a time. It’s all I can do. lol
Love you, Bestie. I hope you’re having a great morning. I’m going to Katy-Lady’s in a few minutes.
Interesting questions, though I may not respond 😀
No worries at all, my friend. I’m so happy you said hello! I’m glad you like the questions. 🌺
Here goes:
What tiny inconvenience instantly ruins your mood more than it should?
Drivers who aggressively (and usually unnecessarily) honk their horns.
What’s a smell you’d bottle if you could, even though no one else would understand why?
The heavenly scent of a freshly mown hayfield.
What’s a habit you have that would confuse an alien observing you?
Chewing and picking at my fingernails; a habit that, at my age, pretty much confuses everyone, never mind aliens.
Yes. I have witnessed that when I am walking places of car drivers doing that. And when they try to rush by dangerously, they don’t get far because a traffic light has turned red.
I’ve seen that, too, Liz. They deserve that red light.
Oh yes. Sometimes, I have actually gone past those said drivers when walking. I can’t help but stare at them. And I am laughing inside because of knowing they didn’t get very far.
Exactly!!!!!!!!
Yes! Those rude drivers!
I would buy that bottled scent.
That sounds like some anxiety, maybe?
Thank you so much for playing, Pam! I hope you’re having a great Thursday!
Yup, lots of it!
