Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.
So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
.
───── ⋆⋅Round #98⋅⋆ ─────
1. What tiny inconvenience instantly ruins your mood more than it should?
2. What’s a smell you’d bottle if you could, even though no one else would understand why?
3. What’s a habit you have that would confuse an alien observing you?
───── ⋆⋅Here are my answers⋅⋆ ─────
- When a website decides to glitch for no reason, it ruins my mood instantly. If a page freezes or a layout stretches into something ridiculous, I feel my patience vanish and I want to close everything and walk away.
- I’d bottle the smell of early‑morning air after a summer storm. It has that cool, quiet sweetness that feels like the world hit reset. No one else would think it’s anything special, but it always stops me in my tracks.
- A habit that would confuse an alien is how often I refresh a page even when nothing is wrong. I’ll check comments, reload the dashboard, glance at the same screen twice, then do it again as if something magical might appear. An alien would probably assume it’s a ritual.

And now it’s your turn. If you’d rather just read, that’s perfectly fine. A quick hello would be lovely, and quiet lurkers are always welcome. xo
We’re coming up on our 100th Get to Know You very soon! Look for something special that day!
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

When the sound drops on a show I am streaming. Is it because of a naughty word or is it a tech glitch?
Cinnamon bun. But that would likely be a bad idea as I would be hungry all the time.
I have a habit of shaking my food (handheld or on a fork or spoon) before putting it in my mouth. I can’t explain it either.
Have a good evening Kymber. Allan
Yes! Why does that happen? I agree!
Same! But, boy, would that smell good.
That would definitely interest an alien, I’m sure. 😊
Loved your answers! Thank you so much for playing, Allan. Happy Tuesday!
What tiny inconvenience instantly ruins your mood more than it should?
A mobile game freezing right when I’m finally doing well and is two steps ahead. lol
What’s a smell you’d bottle if you could, even though no one else would understand why?
The soft, dusty-paper scent of a library book that’s been loved by others. It’s quiet nostalgia
What’s a habit you have that would confuse an alien observing you?
Pausing mid‑task to stare into space because a thought tugged popped into my head. To an alien, it probably looks like I’ve powered down or lost signal.
Oh, yeah, that’s a mood crusher, for sure!
Yes, quiet nostalgia. I love that same smell.
LOL I imagine you’re right how that would look to an alien.
Thank you so much for playing! I really enjoyed your answers.
Thank you. I have been enjoying answering them.
That makes me happy. 😊🌺
Oh yes, I’m with you about online technical issues!
You’ve captured the perfect essence with your fragrance, and I don’t think I could top that. Close second could be freshly mowed grass.
Aliens would probably be confused by everything we humans do. 😆 Driving a car, for example, since their vehicles are surely much more sophisticated.
Yes, I totally agree about freshly mown grass. That deserves a bottle, too.
I think you’re right about that. I’m sure their vehicles are more advanced. That was a good one!
Thank you so much for playing. I hope you have a happy Friday!
I liked these answers
Thank you, Jo-Anne.
Whenever any of my tech is screwed up – TV, surround sound, Kindle, laptop, etc. – it immediately puts me in a foul mood.
I’d bottle the smell of the ocean. It’s an immediate stress reliever for me.
Not sure about the aliens, but I’m sure I’d leave them scratching their heads (if they have heads) over something.
I don’t doubt it; I’m the same exact way.
Oh, yes, the smell of the ocean is so special. I’d buy that in a bottle!
If they have heads! LOLOLOL
Great answers, Teri! Thank you for playing!
I like your fresh morning air answer a lot!

Thank you, Maggie. I can’t wait to read your answers! I’ll be over soon!
Your answers are lovely Kymber. I really get irritated when senior colleagues don’t read information I send them (which I have to search for and explain) and come back with off the cuff incorrect comments. I’ve got to a point where I just don’t respond. I like the smell of rain on dry soil. I think everything about me would confuse an alien, poor thing 👽🛸
Love your answers, Robbie!
I can understand why that irritates you. It would me, too, for sure.
That’s a lovely smell that I would definitely buy if it were bottled.
I hear you on that because I feel that way, too. lol
Happy Thursday!

Happy timezones, Susan! Thank you so much for playing! I’ll be over soon’s I can!
What tiny inconvenience instantly ruins your mood more than it should? Rude drivers. I count to ten often.
What’s a smell you’d bottle if you could, even though no one else would understand why? My mothers bread baking in the oven. Pure heaven.
What’s a habit you have that would confuse an alien observing you? Just about everything I do would confuse an alien. I sure confuse non aliens.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Love and hugs, my sweet friend. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
Sometimes counting to 10 is the best recourse. Rude drivers are the worst.
Oh, I bet that smelled so good.
LOL I hear you on this and I think I confuse non-aliens, too. haha
I hope you’re having a wonderful Thursday! Thank you so much for playing! Love and hugs, sweet friend, and lots of scritches for the kitties. 🩷🌺
I love the fresh smell in the morning after a storm, too. 😊 The smell i would bottle up if I could is the sweet smell of a newborn baby (particularly my children when they were babies). Oh my heart! 🥹🥰💜
My tiny inconvenience that ruins my mood is if if my cellphone ringer is on. It triggers my anxiety, so I keep it on vibrate and keep minimumphone notifications turned on. 🫣 And honestly, that’d probably also be the habit i have that confuses an alien! 😆
Oh, Jenn, isn’t that smell magnificent?
Oh my heart, too. That would be the perfect smell to bottle.
I like how this answered both questions at the same time. I hear you on the cellphone ringer. It unnerves me, too.
Thank you so much for playing. I hope you’re having a terrific Thursday! 🌺🩷😊
Good morning, and happy timezones! I like your answers. Let’s see what I can come up with.
1) When something doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. It could be an app or website, but it could also be something mechanical. Another one is when Sonic gets the drink order wrong, or a Door Dash restaurant order is wrong, either something made wrong or items left out. In the grand scheme of things, those are all “first world problems.”
2) Old book smell. But I think there are others who would understand why.
3) Checking email or text messages every five minutes, if I’m hoping someone will reply to something.
Happy timezones, Jeff! It’s great to see you!
I definitely see what you mean, even though those things are very annoying when they happen.
I love old book smell! I understand why. 😊
Yes, I hear you on this! I do the same thing.
I’m so glad you played. Happy Thursday!
Thank you so much! Here’s my entry. I hope you like my answers.

Have a wonderful Thursday! ☺️
I can’t wait to read your answers! I’ll be over as soon as I can! 🌺🩷
Thank you so much! 💜🌸☺️
My pleasure! Your answers were terrific!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed my answers! ☺️💜
I know what you mean about the tech glitches. There are so many! I’ve given up letting them ruin my mood.
That’s the better approach, Jacqui. Someday, I will learn this. lol
[…] Get to Know You […]
When I’m watching tv and it locks up right in the middle of what I was watching.
Coffee brewing.
Blowing bubbles when I’m chewing gum.
Oh, yes, that is annoying when it happens!
Love the smell of coffee brewing!
I do that, too! lol
Great answers, Kim! I hope you’re having a great Thursday!
I’m not sure if this counts but I’ll say paying shipping when I can get it without. Somehow $30 without shipping feels better than $25 with $5 shipping.
Chocolate chip cookies
3.Reading the same percentage of 2 books at the same time.
I’m sure I can come up with better answers for 1 and 3 but that’s what I’ve got right now.
Hey, your answers are great, Bestie!
I understand that about shipping. For sure.
Oh, yes, I would buy that bottled aroma!
I think it’s amazing you can do that. I only read one book at a time. It’s all I can do. lol
Love you, Bestie. I hope you’re having a great morning. I’m going to Katy-Lady’s in a few minutes.
Interesting questions, though I may not respond 😀
No worries at all, my friend. I’m so happy you said hello! I’m glad you like the questions. 🌺
Here goes:
What tiny inconvenience instantly ruins your mood more than it should?
Drivers who aggressively (and usually unnecessarily) honk their horns.
What’s a smell you’d bottle if you could, even though no one else would understand why?
The heavenly scent of a freshly mown hayfield.
What’s a habit you have that would confuse an alien observing you?
Chewing and picking at my fingernails; a habit that, at my age, pretty much confuses everyone, never mind aliens.
Yes. I have witnessed that when I am walking places of car drivers doing that. And when they try to rush by dangerously, they don’t get far because a traffic light has turned red.
I’ve seen that, too, Liz. They deserve that red light.
Oh yes. Sometimes, I have actually gone past those said drivers when walking. I can’t help but stare at them. And I am laughing inside because of knowing they didn’t get very far.
Meeee, tooooo! LOL 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Exactly!!!!!!!!
Yes! Those rude drivers!
I would buy that bottled scent.
That sounds like some anxiety, maybe?
Thank you so much for playing, Pam! I hope you’re having a great Thursday!
Yup, lots of it!
I feel you on that. 🌺🌺🌺
