I actually can’t quote any movies. I’m not very good at bowling but still play and chocolate chip cookies. My mom made excellent ones. 😊

Kymber July 18, 2026 - 8:23 am

Bowling is fun, and I’m not good at it either. I want some chocolate chip cookies! I bet your mom’s were the bomb!

Thank you for playing, Lynette. Happy Saturday!

Fun questions, Kymber!

The Princess Bride
Baking
Play-Doh

Answering these and reading everyone’s replies was a perfect distraction while I’m stuck dealing with some family law lawyers today. Thanks for the fun escape!

I’m so glad you were able to answer the questions as a distraction from all you’re going through.

Your responses are great and who can forget the smell of Play-Doh? LOL

Hope you have a good weekend!

What’s a movie you can quote without trying? A league of their own. I have seen it so many times.
What’s a hobby you enjoy even if you’re terrible at it? Any type of Trivia games. I am not very good at, but I do learn new things every time. LOL
What smell takes you straight back to childhood? I would have to say wet grass. When I smell it, I am brought back to my childhood where I used to play in the rain all the time.

Reply
Kymber July 17, 2026 - 10:15 am

Love that movie! So many good things to quote in it.

My sisters and I used to play Trivial Pursuit, but we called it “two guesses and a clue.” LOL

Playing in the rain sounds great!

Thank you so much for playing. Happy Friday!

I love the smell of fresh cut grass. That and coffee (even though I don’t drink it). The smell of campfires always brings me back to my childhood.

Reply
Kymber July 17, 2026 - 8:26 am

Oh, yes, campfires. I love that answer!

Great questions. These are my answers

Q1. What’s a movie you can quote without trying? — Dr. Sleep and Interstellar

Q2. What’s a hobby you enjoy even if you’re terrible at it? — learning French. I am doing it but slowly. It was the same thing when I learned English. Some people pick up second languages quickly. I am not one of them. (my native language is Swedish).

Q3. What smell takes you straight back to childhood? — saffron buns

Reply
Kymber July 17, 2026 - 8:21 am

Thank you, Thomas.

Those are great movies to quote!

Well your English is stellar. I’m sure you’ll have French down in no time. I admire others who can learn languages, too, as it’s very difficult for me.

Interesting! I bet those are good!

Thank you so much for playing. Happy Friday!

Hi and Happy Timezones, Kymber!

Here are my answers:
1) I have several. The Princess Bride (Allo! My name is Inigo Montoya! You keeled my father! Preparrre to die!) , Jurassic Park (The point is, you’re alive when they start to eat you!), and Ghostbusters (I find her interesting because she’s a client and she sleeps above her covers! Four FEET above her covers!)(Tell them about the Twinkie!)
2) This is hard for me, because I don’t really enjoy a hobby if I’m not good at it. I’ve tried painting a couple of times, and I really suck at it. Can’t draw, either. Maybe writing. Maybe that’s my answer.
3) Old books. I can still smell the library in my home town, when I was a child. And I can hear the floor creak. ❤️❤️❤️

Reply
Kymber July 17, 2026 - 8:17 am

Happy timezones, Jeff!

I love alll those movies! So many great quotes from those! lol

You’re a great writer! This is a fact. 😀

I love that. The smell of the library definitely takes me back.

Great answers! Thank you so much for playing and I hope you have a great Friday and weekend! 🩷🌺

You are very kind. ❤️ I did finally think of a “hobby,” if it can even be called that, that I enjoy, but I’m pretty bad at, and that’s golf. I do like to go out and play a round of golf, from time to time, but I am very bad at it, and lose lots of golf balls.

Reply
Kymber July 17, 2026 - 2:22 pm

I used to live near a golf course and know about lost golf balls. LOL 😀

The important thing is that you’re having a good time playing.

1) Ghostbusters. “Listen! Do you smell something?”

“Want some coffee, Mr. Tully? Yes, have some!”

“There is no Dana, only Zuul.”

“”Gozer the Traveller. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii, the Traveller came as a large moving Torb! Then during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants, they chose a new form for him, that of a giant Sloar! Many Shubs and Zulls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of a Sloar that day, I can tell you.”

“That’s a big Twinkie.”

“If the ionization rate is constant for all ectoplasmic entities, we could really bust some heads! In a spiritual sense, of course.”

“I liked the university. They gave us money, resources. You’ve never been in the private sector. They expect results.”

“He says there’s a bear in his apartment!”

“Ray, when someone asks you if you’re a god, you say yes!”

“Look, symmetrical book stacking! Just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence if 1947!” “You’re right, no human being would ever stack books like this.”

2) I’m terrible at Rocket League but I have fun playing it. Bowling can be fun and I’m awful at that too.

3) The crisp fragrance of my brother’s farts. Christmas trees. Popcorn.

Kymber July 16, 2026 - 9:17 pm

Lololol 😂 I love the quotes and am glad you included them in your answer.

I’m the same way with bowling.

Lol 😂 ah, childhood.

I enjoyed your answers. Here are mine…

Movie. Right now I’d say Top Gun Maverick but there are lots of others.
Hobby: Playing the harp.
Smell: Bread baking. We lived downwind from a commercial bakery.

Reply
Kymber July 16, 2026 - 7:58 pm

There are so many highly quotable movies, aren’t there? I like the one you chose.

Playing the harp is a terrific answer.

Oh I bet that was really nice, living downwind from a bakery.

Thank you so much for playing! Happy Thursday!

Reply

Maverick was surprisingly great. The rare long-anticipated sequel that honored and matched the original. Exceeded it in many ways, even.

The movie I can quote without trying is Casablanca with Humphrey Bogart.

What’s a hobby I enjoy, even if I’m terrible at it, is woodworking.

The smell that takes me straight back to childhood is Three-in-One oil from using it on my bike.

Reply
Kymber July 16, 2026 - 5:26 pm

I absolutely love Casablanca! Wonderful that you can quote it.

Woodworking looks like fun.

What smell takes you straight back to childhood? Mom’s Boston baked beans. I just made a pot for Independence Day, too. Yummy!

Painting is so enjoyable. Even though I’m not the best at it, I find a lot of pleasure in the process. I like that you paint, too.

LOL When we would drive in the country, my grandma would roll the window down and say, “Smell that fresh air!” lol

I bet you’re great at painting and sculpting, Kymber. You have such an artistic flair! 🎨

My answers:
1. Moonstruck (Cher, Nicolas Cage)
2. My two hobbies are blogging and photography, neither of which I ‘m terrible at (I don’t think 😅).
3. Chlorine. I spent a lot of time at public swimming pools as a kid.

Reply
Kymber July 16, 2026 - 10:16 am

Love Moonstruck.

You are a master at both those hobbies, my friend! Out of this world!

Oh how nice that must have been!

I just came from your place with your flashback post. Loved it so much!

Happy Thursday!

We have the DVD of Moonstruck and watch it every so often. My husband is Italian, so a lot of it is relatable. 🍷 Thanks for the compliment! 🌹 Both hobbies are all-consuming. 😆 The summers in London (Ontario, where I lived from 1959-1965) were hot and humid, so I spent a lot of time at public pools.

Thanks for reading my post. I’m glad you enjoyed it! 💖
