Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.
So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
───── ⋆⋅Round #94⋅⋆ ─────
1. If you could make one everyday task 10% easier, which one would you pick?
2. What’s something you know an oddly specific amount about?
3. What’s a piece of common advice you’ve decided simply does not apply to you?
───── ⋆⋅Here are my answers⋅⋆ ─────
- Finding my keys. I put them down “somewhere obvious” and then immediately forget where that obvious place was.
- The Wizard of Oz. I know the movie, the trivia, the behind‑the‑scenes stories, and all the little facts no one expects to hear in casual conversation.
- “Just relax.” If I could relax on command, I would. My anxiety doesn’t work like a light switch, so I’ve stopped pretending that advice is useful.

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

COOKING!
Advice: Blood is thicker than water…..bull pucky
Right? I agree with you on that.
Interesting to learn more about you.
I’m old enough to remember the Wizard of Oz as a once-a-year special movie on TV.
Thank you. And yes, me, too! We anxiously waited for it every year. Such an exciting time.
You’re welcome. It was!
💗🌺
1–I carry my cell phone on a long lanyard around my neck, so I don’t leave it somewhere and then have to search for it. I hate this for me. 🤨
2–I have a wealth of useless information and senseless trivia about so many topics, but I can’t say I know more about any one topic other than maybe The Princess Bride book and movie.
3– Exercise, eat right, and reduce stress: Exercise–check. Eat right–sometimes. Reduce stress–Are you kidding? As a U. S. citizen keeping up at the bare-minimum level with current events means I am constantly sTrESsEd.
I hate that for you, too, but I totally get the reason behind it, believe me. lol
The Princess Bride! Now that is cool!
I know what you mean and agree with you 100%!
Thank you so much for playing!
I’m retired now and decided to stop worrying about where I left my glasses! 😊 Hummm, something I oddly know a lot about? Aircraft, but I’m pilot (retired) so that’s not odd. And a piece of general advice that doesn’t apply to me – I can’t think of an example. Good questions. Cheers.
LOL about your glasses! I hear you! A pilot! How cool is that? I guess you would know all there is to know about aircraft, and that is so neat.
I’m so glad you liked the questions, and I’m so happy you played! Cheers!
Hi Kymber, good Q and A. If I wasn’t always losing one of the other of my iPhones my life would be easier. I put them down somewhere to do some chore … I know a lot about stock exchanges all over the world Ang a great deal about African regulatory reporting. I also know a lot about making cakes 🍰. Lastly, like you I am high strung and anxious and just relax is infuriating.
Hi, Robbie! 💗🌺
Life would definitely be easier if we could keep track of things without getting distracted, it’s true. lol
Those are diverse and neat things to know about. I love your cakes! It looks like you have fun decorating them.
Yes, it sure is!
Thank you so much for playing. I’m glad you liked the questions.
I enjoyed reading your answers. I agree with # 1, I’m always putting things where I can find them, then can’t remember where that place was. # 3 oh my yes! That would be wonderful for me, too. 🙂
I’m glad you can relate. Someone suggested I get a key hook for next to the door, and I think that’s a good idea. lol It’s too bad you have anxiety, too, but we’re not alone at least.

1 Tidying up rooms.
2 Nineteenth century Spanish naturalistic novels. That was the topic of my dissertation.
3 “The early bird catches the worm.” I love to write until midnight and get up super late as well….when birds and worms have already done whatever they are supposed to do.

Well, time to share some of those little known facts 😊

sleep walking
just do it
and do we have to every day>???????????
Excellent answers. I used to sleep walk when I was a young teen, but thankfully grew out of it or something.
[…] are my answers for Kymber’s Get to Know You #94.1. If you could make one everyday task 10% easier, which one would you pick?My answer is […]
Vacuuming, because it sucks and not in a good way.
1970s and 1980s music, because that was my era.
Just do it. So many folks waste time wondering how they can get out of or find an easier way to do something, that it takes longer than the task they were trying to avoid. I found that in my work life too. People wondered how I got so much done. Just do it was my answer.
Happy Thursday Kymber. Allan
Hi, Allan! I hope you’re having a great day! Love your answers! Especially the “Just do it” response. I think that’s so true.
Well, you need a key hook by the front door and train yourself to keep them there! I had to put one on the bus for my hubby who can’t remember where he puts anything, lol!
I sure do need a key hook! One shaped like a cat would be even better. lol
Love the questions and love your answers. I’m playing along today. Here’s the link: https://comedy-plus.com/get-to-know-you-2/
Thank you for hosting the fun.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Kymber. Love and hugs. ♥
Thank you, Sandee! I can’t wait to see your responses! Thanks so much for playing!
Love and hugs, my friend. xo

You’re not the only one who just loves Wizard of Oz. It grabbed so many imaginations.
I know that’s right! 😀 It’s such a wonderful movie that brings back childhood memories. I loved the books, too, when I was little.
Good morning! Happy timezones, Kymber! These are interesting questions today. I fixed my keys problem by getting a foyer table with a walnut bowl on it. Keys, ID badges . . . it all goes in that bowl. Now, do I always remember to get them on the way out the door? Of course not!
1) That’s a tough one. Maybe cooking dinner. I enjoy cooking for my family, but if it could be, what did you say? 10% easier, then it would be quicker, too, and we would have more time to enjoy our evening. I could say getting to work, but that’s not an “everyday” task for me. If only we had those Star Trek transporter thingies. “Beam me to the library, Scotty!”
2) Believe it or not, I’m struggling to come up with an answer to this. I guess I’ll say baseball. I don’t consider myself an expert, and, recently, I haven’t followed my teams as closely, so I couldn’t even tell you the players’ names. But I know quite a bit about the sport, over time, the rules, the famous players, things like that. I’ve been a fan since I was nine years old (I’m 68 now)(egad)
3) “Money can’t buy happiness.” Sure it can. Money buys books, books make me happy. I will tell you what money really can’t buy, though. It can’t buy joy. Joy and happiness are not the same thing. Happiness is temporary. True joy is eternal.
Happy timezones, Jeff! It’s so great that you are playing today!
That was a good idea to fix the missing keys problem!
I would love to have a transporter! That’s a great idea, too. lol
I grew up in a baseball (specifically Tigers) family, so I understand what you’re saying here.
Yes to more book money! I can get on board with that, for sure. And I agree about the difference between joy and happiness. Then there is contentment, too.
Hope you’re having a great day!
Thanks, Kymber! I had a pretty good day. And yes . . . contentment can exist outside of circumstances, too.

Thanks, Sandman. Loved your answers!
I’m retired so life is very easy breezy these days…
Ham Radio. I’ve been licensed since 1980, one year out of HS.
I’m not sure, but Common Sense left America in the 1980s…
Great answers, John!
That’s really cool about Ham Radio. My aunt was big into that, too. It looked like fun.
You’re probably right about that.
Thank you for playing!
