Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.
So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
Round #72:
- If you won the lottery tonight, would I see you at work tomorrow?
- What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?
- What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish?
Here are my answers:
- If people were relying on me, I’d be there.
- Casper the friendly ghost.
- The Wizard of Oz

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

I would quit. Corporations don’t care about the little guy. If something happened to me (hospitalization or death) they would manage. Winning the lottery would be the same thing. If I quit, they’d manage.
Field of Dreams. You know I’m a huge LOTR fan but those movies are 11 hours long. That’s too much to memorize.
I don’t blame you for quitting if that happened. You’re right about corporations and the little guy.
Great movie! I thought you’d either pick that one or LOTR.
Thank you so much for playing! It’s really good to see you!
Fun questions!
1) Probably so. I work at the best place, so I would probably keep showing up. 20 hours a week at the library, with the best people in the world. I would buy them all cookies every day, and lavish gifts upon them all. I might even just be a volunteer, if they would let me.
2) That’s a tough one. I don’t remember my childhood Halloween costumes very well. I think I might have been a pirate once. That would probably be my favorite.
3) The Princess Bride. Jurassic Park (the original).
That’s great! It’s so important to like your job.
Pirates are cool.
Yessss… I’m the same way with those movies. LOL They are great!
Thank you so much for playing! I hope this day is treating you well.
Likewise, dear friend. 💜
Yes, true.
I’d love to see a pic of that!
Oh, yes, I love the book and the movie.
Thanks for playing, Bee! You are most wonderful!
Getting nostalgic seeing all the great films people are listing. Might be time to rewatch ❤️
Hi, Layla! I know what you mean about that. Happy watching, and happy Tuesday, too! 😊

Thank you so much!
These are always fun to answer! 😀
I’m retired now, but had I won the lottery while working, I would have come in the following day to resign, giving two weeks’ notice.
Favourite Halloween costume was a vampire, dressed like Morticia Addams, but with fangs. 😃
“Moonstruck”

I’m glad you like to do them, Debbie!
Great answers! I love Morticia, especially if you give her fangs.
Thank you so much for playing!
If I still worked and won the lottery, I will still be there to train others, and then make my exit.
Casper is my choice too.
Dirty Dancing – I’ve seen it numerous times
YAY for Casper! 😀 Thank you so much for playing. Happy Monday!
Most welcome, Kymber. Have a wonderful week ahead.😻
You, too, my friend.

Awesome answers! I’ll post my response sometime this week!
Sounds great! Happy Monday!
These are my answers
If you won the lottery tonight, would I see you at work tomorrow? I’m also retired.
What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid? I grew up in Sweden and there was no Halloween, so not for me either.
What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? I’ve seen Interstellar 20 times, and I know many quotes, but not the whole movie.
That’s a great movie! Thank you so much for playing, Thomas! I hope you have a great Monday!
f you won the lottery tonight, would I see you at work tomorrow? – You sure would. I love what I’m doing.
What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid? – Hopalong Cassidy
What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? – A Christmas Story
I love Hopalong Cassidy! That’s a great movie! Thank you for playing, John!
I liked this questions and your answers
Thank you, Joanne!
Great questions as always Kymber. I have not watched the entire Wizard of Oz movie; but I love Casper cartoons on weekends growing up…they were quite fun.
You must see it! lol It’s my favorite all-time movie and I’m quite the Judy Garland enthusiast. 😀
Thanks for the great recommendation, Kymber. Happy Monday.
Happy Monday!
Thank you Kymber.

Fun questions https://malhammagna.com/2026/01/08/get-to-know-you-72/
Thank you, Alice! Be right over!
I’m retired, so I’ll answer with “if I had won the lottery when I was still working…”: Yes. I’d be at work at least for a while. I liked my job.
For several Halloween costumes in a row, I wore my winter coat inside out, because the fuzzy lining was black and white like Dalmatian fur. I had a Pongo plastic mask. This was c. 1961 or 1962 right after the movie came out.
I can, and do, quote “The Princess Bride”.
Oh yes, the Princess Bride! Good one!
This feels like such a warm invitation 🤍
I love the thoughtfulness in your answers—especially showing up when people are relying on you. Casper and The Wizard of Oz are pure comfort classics ✨
Thank you for creating a space that feels welcoming, even for quiet readers. Happy to be here and saying hello 👋😊
You’re so welcome, and I’m glad you stopped in to say hello! Happy Monday!
Happy Monday 🙏💛Take care
You, too, my friend.
Fun questions and answers, Kymber. Here are mine:
Yes as I love what I do
A black cat
Notting Hill
Great answers, Esther. Thank you so much or playing.
I am retired, so no work for me…I would pay off all my sister’s and my son’s bills and set a trust for each. That’s it., 2. fav costume? I wasn’t a kid, and it was renfaire garb for me., and the movie? well there are two actually and I can repeat word for word every bit of dialogue…Rocky Horror Picture Show and Burlesque. I mess up n Sound of Music on one song each and every time or I’d say that movie as well. My favorite things really aren’t. LOL
Love the movies! And Ren Faire garb is the best. We live practically next door to the MI Ren Fest and have spent many years there.
Same. I’m on permanent disability but I answered it as if I was working. 🙂
Right. I did the same thing, Bestie. 🙂
1) I am retired, but if someone wanted me to come back for a day to provide advice I’d do it…for a day.
2) My favorite halloween costume as a kid was a ghost as well. Easy to put on, easy to take off. Just a sheet!
3) I’m pretty sure I could quote “The Avengers” from start to finish. I know I could quote A Charlie Brown Christmas from beginning to end (saw that in the comments and could not resist!)
Ghost costumes were the best! Great answers! Thank you so much for playing.
1) My current job is retired, so yeah, I’ll be here.
2) Robin Hood. We lived mostly on the farm, so costumes were few and far between.
3) I know it is a short version movie, but A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Happy Thursday Kymber.
Allan
LOL Love your answers, Allan! Thank you for playing! I hope you have a good week.
Now you have me singing the Casper song!
LOL! I hope you’ve gotten it out of your system now. 😀
Wishing you a wonderful day, my friend. Big healing hugs. ♥
Thank you. Wishing the same for you. Love and hugs.
You would not see me at work, if I still worked! 😂🤣
I don’t remember, probably a which because it was easy.
Tombstone!
LOL Tombstone rocks! Thank you for playing!
These are good ones!
If you won the lottery tonight, would I see you at work tomorrow? Definitely not! We would travel and start working more with hosting nose work trials at fun venues.
What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid? 2019 when Mom dressed us as trolls
What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? How the Grinch stole Christmas.
Great answers! I love it!
Thank you so much for playing!
Such a warm, inviting post! ☕🌞 I love the porch-chat vibe—it feels inclusive, playful, and genuinely community-centered. The questions are fun and nostalgic, and your openness makes everyone feel welcome, whether they answer or just say hello. A lovely reminder that connection doesn’t have to be complicated.
Thank you for your lovely words. Happy Monday!
These really are fun, Kymber. I’m always enjoy the questions and smiling at your answers.
Here are mine:
1. Yes, me too. I wouldn’t leave everyone high and dry, but I’d give my 2-week notice!
2. Mary from “Mary had a Little Lamb.” I forced my younger brothers to be sheep that year. Lol
3. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Thank you so much, Diana! I love that you enjoy these.
Your brothers had to be sheep! Now that got me laughing!
I love that movie! haha
Thank you so much for playing, and Happy Monday!
