Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.
So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
Round #56:
What’s the best animal sound you can make?
- Do you have a nickname? What were you called as a kid?
- Name a jingle that has stuck with you
Here are my answers:
- I can sound like a cat.
- As a child and to this day, my family and friends all call me, Kimmy.
- “Have it Your Way,” the old Burger King jingle, circa 19741:
“…Hold the pickle, hold the lettuce
Special orders don’t upset us
All we ask is that you let us serve it your way…
…Have it your way, have it your way
At Burger King, with Burger King…”

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

What’s the best animal sound you can make?
Hmm. I make many strange sounds. I used to do a good burrowing owl. Lately though. . . Cat sounds to bother my grandfather, who is decidedly NOT a cat lover. XD
I do a good pig too.
Do you have a nickname? What were you called as a kid?
My one complaint about my name is that it is not easily nickname-able. So I always get called weird things. My cousin calls me Jarsinacus. (Not sure where that comes from.) My brothers come up with all sorts of strange ones. Lately Jibbers, which I am not a huge fan of. Also Jils, which is acceptable.
Name a jingle that has stuck with you
Jingle? As in advertising? I hate ads!! Let’s see. . .
Kit Kat bar one? (I’ve only ever heard it secondhand though. Before my time, I suppose.) Can’t think of any others at the moment.
Hope everyone is having a great day! 😃
LOLOL Cat sounds to bother your grandfather. That’s hilarious! 😀
I love the nicknames; they’re so creative. I really think Jils is cute.
I currently have the Kit Kat bar jingle in my head now. haha
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Sunday!
Kymber, maybe a dumb question… but on your external page, I could like, and there were links to FB, T, etc… but I didn’t see a comment field. What am I missing?
Hmmm… I’m not sure what you mean. Can you tell me what page the problem is on? Thank you so much! 🙂
On this page. I can like… but don’t see a comment box

Here it is… But you can’t see that? I wonder what kind of WP glitch we have going on now. LOL
Thank you so much for letting me know about this problem. I really appreciate it.
Oh! And there is never a dumb question. 🙂
Howl like a wolf. Gets our dog howling, too. Big hit with the fam 😉
Darzie, if I was in Gallant mode. Jacka*s if I was in Goofus mode.
The armor hot dog commercial, which I don’t think would fly today 😂
Fat kids
Skinny kids
Kids that climb on rocks
Tough kids
Sissy kids
Even kids with chicken pox
Like hot dogs
Armor hot dogs
The dogs… kids… love to bite 🎶
Hi, Darryl!
That sounds like so much fun!!
I’m in a goofus mood 24/7. LOL
My mom sings that! LOL Wait till I tell her about this! 😀 😀
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Sunday!

Thank you! I can’t wait to read your answers!
Cat, but my cat didn’t seem too impressed, so I refrained.
Georgie
Timex – It takes a licking and keeps on ticking. (Always loved the old John Cameron Swayze B&W ad from early TV. They did them live!)
LOLOL That’s funny, George! I feel my cats judging me all the time, too. 😀
I love the name Georgie. That’s really cute.
Ooooh yeah, I remember Timex now! I didn’t know they did them live. Wow!
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Friday!
1.I make a good chicken.
2. As a kid my Dad called me Deeber Doo (no clue why), I once dated a girl who who took my initial 1 step further from M. to Mmy or Mness or Nessie. No real nicknames that have stuck though. Most people just call me Matt.
3. Ideal Store Jingle:
” If you got a passion for fasion”
“If you got a craving for saving”
“Take the wheel of your automobile”
“And drive on down to….IDEAL” It’s on youtube check it out. 😁
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Friday!
Sure beats Matthew…my full name sounds too formal
I feel like mine does, too, so I know what you mean.
I’d also have to say a cat since I’ve spent so much time around them. Bond and I have some stimulating conversations.
Teri is actually my nickname – my real name is Teresa. I just don’t respond to it since no one has ever used it.
Can’t say a jingle has stuck with me. I don’t listen to or watch commercials – unless they’re during the Super Bowl.
I bet you and Bond do, and that is awesome!
I think Teri is a nice nickname. 🙂
That’s cool that you don’t have jingles stuck in your head. I think I’ve watched way too many commercials. lol
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Thursday!
That’s not a jingle I have ever hear and will say the same about mine, which can be found here: https://jamfn.blogspot.com/2025/03/getting-to-know-me.html
Thank you for the link! Can’t wait to see what you wrote!

Thank you, Ernie! I’ll be right over to see your answers!
My best animal sound is a snarling lion
I never had a nickname as a kid
I want to buy the World a Coke……. It’s the real thing.
Now I wish I could hear that. LOL
Yes, those coke commercials were among my favorites because my sister and I liked to sing with them. lol
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Thursday!
Here is mine! https://therapybits.com/2025/03/06/get-to-know-me-56/
Thank you! Be right over!
I cup my hands and make owl hoots.
I grew tall fast, and I was (am) stoutly built. My grandpa, whom I adored, called me “Amazon” and a “bucket of hog liver”. 😉
“My bologna has a first name…🎶”.
Cool – Owl hoots!! I couldn’t do that to save my life. lol
A bucket of hog liver! LOLOL My Grandpa always told me I was full of prunes. lol
Yes, love that jingle!
Thank you so much for playing, Kaye!
Yes, that Burger King jingle! It’s a good one!
My answers would be
1. a cat, and they have so many little sounds besides meow! Also I can do a pretty good peacock = loud!
2. No special nickname from family, but friends sometimes call me Barb. When in school we used to write notes to friends and my name I picked was Chelsea, or Hullabaloo. Why I have no idea. haha
3. Pretty much any sit-com TV show I could probably sing some of, but here’s a couple of product ones I remember = alka seltzer – plop plop fizz fizz Oh what a relief it is, and Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs – Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner!
Thanks for the fun questions 🙂
I’m glad you like it! 😀
I”m so glad you had fun! I had fun reading your answers!

Cat seems to be a popular answer, and is mine too. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that Burger King jingle, and I’m the right age. My earwigs change based on something I hear, nothing has caught on today thankfully. Maggie
They sure do seem to be the popular answer. I’m glad nothing has caught on today! That’s great! Hopefully you can remain earwig free. 😀
Thank you for playing. Happy Thursday!
Fun questions and answers. Here are mine:
I have to go for cat too.
Friends and family call me Ess.
I can’t get the Airtasker jingle out of my head and wish I could!
Thank you, Esther!
Cats sounds! YAY!
That is so sweet.
I’m sorry to remind you of it. lol
Thank you so much for playing! I hope you’re having an awesome Thursday!
Good answers. I have an earwig that starts with “Here we are, all together…” and will not leave me alone if I hear just that phrase!
Ooooh, I’m sorry to remind you of it now. lol
Awww Kimmy ❤️ that’s so cute! ☺️ and now “have it your way” it’s playing in my head! Lol 😆
LOL Thanks. And, I’m sorry. hahahaha
I snort when I laugh, so I guess I could be a pig or a horse 🤣
When I was born, the nurses nicknamed me Cloth Ears as my earlobes were thin enough to be translucent!
I can’t remember a jingle right now, but I’m sure yours will stick with me! 😜
LOL I think that’s funny! I snort when I laugh, too, but hadn’t considered that connection. 😀
Awwww that’s so sweet. 🙂
I’m sure it will! LOLOL
Oh! Before I forget, I wanted to tell you how happy I am that you are back! I’ve read your new posts, but for some reason the comment block doesn’t show up for me.
Sending you lots of love and hugs!
I can do a pretty good chicken 😂
My nicknames in school were all mean and ugly, but now that I have friends, they call me Kimmy, Lil Kim, or Sis.
Oh, jingles were something I used to walk around singing all the time. Campbell soup…mmmm good, mmmm good, that’s what Campbell’s soups are, mmmm good! Coke-Id like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony! If like to fill the world with hope and keep it company! Or something like that. 🤣
Chicken! I love chickens! 😀 I bet that’s fun. lol
I like your friends now. It’s hurtful what they did to you in school.
I LOVE the coke commercial. Those are great!
Thank you so much for playing. I hope your Thursday treats you well.
I’m not playing right now as you have damaged my thought process with that damn jingle that is remaining in my head so I’m having it my way lol.
Oh dear! But that is so funny! Love your sense of humor, Ernie! 🌺
Thanx Kymber, will be back later to answer. 😁😁😁
Wonderful! Can’t wait!
Me too!! Omg 🤣
Great minds connected by caffeine !!!
Caffeinated concocted connection! 😆 ☕️ 🙏 ☕️
Hahahahaha! 🤣😂 So sorry, guys!
Happy Timezones!! 💜 These are some fun questions!
I can do a pretty good cat, too, I think, because I can get my cats’ attention when I really try. But I also have a pretty mean cow sound. (I don’t just say, “mooo.”)
My basic nickname is “Jeff,” because my full name is Jeffrey. But my favorite nickname came from when I played Pony League baseball. My first day of practice, one of the older kids that had been there for a few years, upon first sight of me, pointed at me and said, “That’s Redbone.” And that was my nickname for the rest of my time on that team. I was a lot skinnier then, with lush auburn-colored hair, so it really fit me.
Lot’s of jingles have stuck with me, but every time (and I do mean every time) I see a KitKat bar, I start singing, “Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that KitKat bar!” 😂 It’s not always out loud, but it definitely occurs in my head every time. I’m singing it right now. LOL! I also still remember the song in the first Big Mac commercials. “Two all-beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame-seed bun.”
Happy timezones! 😀 😀 I’m glad you like the questions!
Sounds like you’re really good at cat sounds, too. Wish I could hear the cow sound. LOL
I love “Redbone!” It’s a great name for a ball player!
Me, too! I can’t stop the Kit Kat song in my head once I see one. lol I remember those Big Mac commercials!
Thank you so much for playing. I hope you have a good Thursday!
Fun! Like you, I can meow like a cat. 🙂 My nickname as a kid was given to me by a teacher and it was Smiley. A jingle that gets stuck in my head is to the tune of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and it’s a commercial for Downy Unstoppables. 🙂
YAY for meows! LOL I love the nickname you had. That’s really sweet. And that jingle really gets stuck in my head, too. lol
Thank you for playing! Happy Thursday!
