Hello, Kind Friends, I have really been enjoying your responses to my “Get to Know You” posts!

So, without further ado, here is round 7:

  • How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza?
  • What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed?
  • What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it?
  • What’s your favorite color?
  • Which is your least favorite food ever?

I shall leave my answers here:

  • I love pineapple on pizza.
  • Unicorns
  • “Reign.” I hated it because the music, costumes, hair was all wrong for the time period. It drove me nuts, but I watched it because I love Megan Follows.
  • Yellow
  • Peas. I hate their smell, their color, the feel of them in my mouth…. I hate everything about them with a passion! 🤢🤮 lol

    How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza? — Indifferent. Although if it’s accompanied by tasteless squares of thin supermarket ham, THAT is the real crime.
    What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed? — The Lorax. Mother Earth definitely needs rescuing.
    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it? — I didn’t enjoy Wednesday. I just thought it was ordinary and kind of boring. It genuinely felt like I’d accidentally watched the wrong show rather than the one everyone was loving online.
    What’s your favorite color? — Red, just like my wheelchair 🙂
    Which is your least favorite food ever? — Shephard’s Pie, I guess? There’s not much I won’t shovel down.

    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it? Jackie Gleason Show reminded me of my angry and bigoted grandfather

    Which is your least favorite food ever? Tomato soup

      If I was in that situation, I might not like that show either.

      Blue is lovely.

      I only like tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t eat it.

  4. Here we go: !. put ham on it and it’s called a “Hawaiian”. I like pineapple with/in my baked beans, too! 2. a dragon—! 3. Ghost Whisperer–Jennifer Love Hewitt was hot but the show’s premise was against my belief system. 4. Blue–worn by me or you-! 5. Mushrooms—the taste and texture, mostly! CHEERS!

            • This cat has such a huge personality. The first time we took him to the vet after we adopted him, they needed a picture of him for his chart. So my husband followed the tech through the open door and to an examination room, and Cesare just followed like he knew where he was going. My husband sat on one of two chairs, and the cat jumped up and sat o the other chair. That’s when the tech snapped his photo and that looked like he was posing, too!! LOLOL

              He’s so funny. I could probably talk about him all day.

              My daughter worked at Pet Supplies Plus and she found the tie for him and brought it home. He didn’t even try to get out of it. LOLOL

            • Oh my gosh, is this another “Garfield?” Oh that is too funny. 🤣 I am sure you have some interesting stories to share about Cesare! Now, that’s one cool cat! 😻😹😸

              We joke that he’s the type of cat that will meet you at the door with a drink and show you around the place. LOL 😹😸

  7. Hi Kymber, I don’t like fruit mixed with carbs. I like The Lorax as created by Dr Seuss. I don’t watch TV, my favourite colour is bright yellow and I don’t eat organs like kidneys.

    Thank you for keeping doing this – it is so fun to read all the answers, and getting to know you all a little bit better. It’s also fun to answer, as these kind of questions aren’t what you usually go around asking yourself!
    I totally agree with you on unicorns – mostly because they are horses and I was injected with the horse-love-virus as a kid, but also because they represent everything that is rare and magical to me.
    Pineapple on pizza? I’m not a fan, but who am I to judge? My favorite topping is shrimps and bananas. At the same time, yes. And with a sprinkle of curry, please, and just the right amount of cheese… *kissing fingertips
    I’m also with you there concerning Reign and the reasons why you didn’t like it. I love historical books and movies, Jane Austen, Tolstoy and Brontë are long lasting favorites. But I find it appalling when they try to modernize the stories to fit them in today’s society as they are supposed to reflect what once were.
    I’m not very original when it comes to my favorite color which is blue. Any shade goes!
    I can’t agree with the peas, though. I love fresh sweet peas from the garden. I really have to plant some once we get some order outside. I have problems with pasta cooked in milk. Don’t ask me why my mother insisted that it was the only way to cook those horrendous little macaronis…

      I’m so glad you enjoy this type of post. I can’t tell you how much fun it’s been for me, reading all the answers, and getting lots of “hi’s,” too.

      That’s exactly why I chose unicorns. 😀

      Bananas on pizza? And I thought pineapple was stretching it. haha 😂😂 To each their own, right? Except, I kinda want to try shrimps and bananas now. lol Oh, and a sprinkle of curry.

      Reign just ate at my soul. LOL I agree with you regarding the others you mentioned, too.

      Blue is so pretty! I like cerulean a lot.

      I’ve never cooked pasta in milk. That’s really interesting!

    How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza? Not my first choice, but I’ll eat it if someone offers. Actually sounds good right about now.
    What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed? Godzilla. He was just misunderstood.
    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it? Saved by the Bell. I was more of a Parker Lewis Can’t Lose guy.
    What’s your favorite color? Green
    Which is your least favorite food ever? Black licorice. That said, I eat almost anything!

  10. How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza? As long as you don’t pour pineapple juice in it (yes I’ve come across that) I think it can be good

    What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed? I think Gnomes, the small friendly humanoid creatures that help people and animals, bring gifts on Christmas, and eat porridge. The Swedish version of Santa Claus, Tomten, is based on Gnomes.

    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it? No particular show but I was never into reality shows. Fake scenarios while pretending to be real and often with unlikeable characters.

    What’s your favorite color? I may be too old to have a favorite color, but if I am forced to pick it would be bright yellow

    Which is your least favorite food ever? It’s between Russian jellied fish, Transylvanian fried cow brain and an authentic Italian Calzone I forget the name of

    • I can’t imagine having pizza after pineapple juice was poured in it. Good grief. lol

      Gnomes! Awwww! Yes, good answer! I’m going to do some reading on Tomten. Thank you for the suggestion.

      That’s what I like least about reality shows, is that there is nothing real about them. Unlikable, for sure.

      YES! Yellow is the best!

      The foods you mentioned sound horrific, like my worst nightmare. lol 😂🤢

  11. How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza? No way Jose. I make my own in a gas fired pizza oven and at 900 degrees pineapple juice is a threat to my pizza stone.
    What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed? I think Pan. Lots’ of nice music.
    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it? Breaking Bad. No reason to glorify Meth cookers. They kill hundreds every year.
    What’s your favorite color? Green
    Which is your least favorite food ever? Orange squash. (shudder) Can’t even think about it. UUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

    Pineapple on pizza…THAT WILL BE THE DAY!
    Me as a mythical creature…maybe the loch ness monster. That way, people would spend their lives looking for me, never finding me, and I could live for hundreds of years.
    TV show…Mission Impossible. I watched that show twice. The second time I watched it, it was a rerun of the same stupid show.
    Favorite color is red.
    Least favorite food…a three way tie. Beets, sweet potatoes and asparagus. But I think beets has the edge.

    Okay, now you…
    What was your least favorite class in high school.
    What was the first movie you saw without your parents taking you to see it.
    Would you rather ride a in a Model T Ford or on a Harley Davidson.
    What is your favorite fruit.
    Oreos, Chips Ahoy, and Fig Newtons. Rate them first to last.

      Red is awesome! That’s my 2nd favorite. Or orange. I like orange, too.

      Answers to your questions:
      My least favorite class in high school was gym. I was so awkward and uncoordinated. Not to mention I was left handed which meant I was always confused about which hand to hold the tennis racket, or how to bat… I was a mess. LOL

      Black Beauty was the 1st time I saw a movie in the theater, and the 1st time I wasn’t with my parents, too. My friend Allison’s parents took us to see it. 🙂

      You’re killing me with this one. LOL Could I do both, please? LOLOL

      My favorite fruit are peaches. If they’re fresh.

      LOL …. Okay, the order does not change: Oreos, Chips Ahoy, and Fig Newtons. 😀

    How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza?
    – I used to be distainful of it, and my Italian husband is horrified by the whole idea! 😀 Then I tried it (with ham, known as Hawaiian pizza, invented right here in Canada), and liked it.

    What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed?
    – Love the unicorns!

    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it?
    – Most reality shows, except the talent competitions, which I love. Who cares about the Kardashians or Real Housewives and their ilk? 😛 Such shallow crap!

    What’s your favorite color?
    – Red, especially when combined with any or all of white, black, grey.

    Which is your least favorite food ever?
    – Eggs. I developed a weird intolerance for them in my later years. 🤢

      I know what you mean about those reality programs. I can’t remember ever being able to sit through an episode of the Kardashians. lol

      I love red, too, and the colors you like it paired with are really elegant looking.

      Your sensitivity to eggs sounds horrible.

  16. Dislike pineapples on pizza. My girls love it, so I have to be picking out the pieces from my slices 🙄😂
    Have to go with Kim above. The Phoenix for sure. Your unicorn comes very close. 😁
    Friends too… never understood the hype around it and seeing people wearing the t-shirts… even more weird.😬
    Black… blue coming a second close.
    Pizzas… always the option only when there isn’t any other option 🤭😂

  17. How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza? I’ve honestly never tried it, but I’ve eaten a lot of strange things on pizza, so I’d probably at least find it acceptable.

    What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed? I have to agree with you on unicorns.

    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it? I feel your pain with Reign. It was ok if you could turn off the overthinking brain, but that was hard to do. I still don’t understand all the hype over Friends. I wouldn’t say I ‘hated” it – I don’t feel that strongly about any TV show really – but the popularity of it (and resurgence) still baffles me.

    What’s your favorite color? Blue. Most specifically is that muted crystal blue like in glaciers. Such a beautiful color!

    Which is your least favorite food ever? My mom used to make a “soup” out of milk, pieces of bread, butter, and spices. Not only do I greatly dislike milk, but I also gag on soggy foods. So, the combined torture of milk and soggy bread was just too much! Even worse, this was her cure-all, traditional family recipe sort of thing so I was usually feeling unwell when it was given to me. She always thought I was being dramatic, because everyone in her family LOVES the stuff and she couldn’t comprehend that I didn’t. Even as a kid, I was like, “Mom, I love you, but I am sick and you’re trying to feed me something I know for a fact will make me even more sick. Please, no.”

      Yes! I’m so glad you “get” it about Reign. That show drove me bonkers. You’re not the only one to say “Friends,” which is really interesting. I see what you’re saying about it when you think of all the hype it got.

      That soup sounds dreadful. I’m not sure I’d be able to get it down either. lol It just seems like the texture would be really off-putting. lol

    I don’t eat pizza, but if it was a vegan pizza, I’d probably say “no” because I’d rather have vegetables than fruit on a pizza.

    What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed?
    UNICORNS – They are beautiful and magical and show how great it is to be unique!

    What’s a TV show you hated that everyone else loved and why did you hate it?
    Oh, this is funny … so many of them I thought I was “above it all” and then I ended up loving the shows years later like “Sex and the City” and “Jackass” to name a few.
    I still don’t “get” Friends or Steinfeld.

    Magenta

    Which is your least favorite food ever?
    I hated liver as a kid.

      I can totally understand not wanting to mix fruit and vegetables on pizza. Being vegan is awesome. I can see why those shows might grown on you later. Magenta is soooo beautiful! A very rich color that I can picture as a gemstone. I’m totally with you on liver.

    • Hi, Kim! 🙂 I love your answers. YAY to pineapple! I hadn’t thought of the Phoenix, but what a perfect response. I’ve never seen The Masked Singer, but I thought it looked dumb, too, on the commercials. Aqua is such a pretty color. I like mushrooms, but I can see how the texture would be off-putting.

      • I could name a plethora of stupid shows on tv but maybe some things I like, others wouldn’t. I’ve never missed but one season of Survivor, I almost always watch American Idol but I hate Dancing With the Stars and all those Batchelor and Bachelorette shows!

        • Oh yes, there are tons of stupid shows, that’s for sure. I tend to stay away from network TV and only watch what I feel like streaming nowadays.

          Me, too, regarding Survivor!! I don’t like any of the other shows you mentioned, although, back in its hey-day, I did like American Idol. 😀
