Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! This is a prompt by Di at Pensitivity and it looks like fun, so I’m going to give it a go!

You can join in the fun here: Share Your World!

───── ⋆⋅The Questions⋅⋆ ─────

1. Do you prefer a carnival or a circus?
2. What is your favourite circus act?
3. When was the last time you attended a funfair?
4. What is your favourite ride/stall

───── ⋆⋅My Answers⋅⋆ ─────

  1. I’ve fought for animal rights for years, so traditional circuses have always been hard for me. But I did enjoy Cirque du Soleil because it’s all human performance and artistry. That kind of show I can appreciate.
  2. My favorite circus act has always been the trapeze artists. It’s all human skill and trust, and I love the way they move through the air.
  3. It’s been years. I don’t really seek funfairs out anymore, so they’ve just slipped out of my life.
  4. I haven’t been to a funfair in years, but I always loved anything fast and high. Those were the rides that made me laugh the most.

Thank you, Di, for this great group of questions! This was fun!

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

It’s been many years since I’ve been to a fair. There are small pop-ups that stay for about a week or so, but I’m almost 60, and spinning rides don’t do much for me anymore. I still love big wooden roller coasters though, and I’d be thrilled to ride one of those again at some point 🤗

That sounds like a lot of fun. I’m in agreement with you on that! 😊🌺

Well, we have the trapeze artists as a favorite in common. So beautiful to watch.

They really are. There’s something about that mix of trust and timing that never gets old.

I take my nieces to Rye Playland in NY every year and yeah…those rides are a different experience as an adult! We rode the Music Express and I’m thinking “Well, this isn’t too bad…” when it reversed and sped up. I had to stop for a minute after getting off the ride and tell the kids to wait while my world stopped spinning.

The worst is the ride that’s just a vertical drop. Up, down at ridiculous speed, up again, down at ridiculous speed again.

If you’re like me and the little ones insist you ride with them, be careful what you eat!

I can picture all of that. Those rides hit different when you’re grown. The Music Express reversing sounds wild, and that vertical drop ride must be its own kind of chaos. If the little ones insist you ride with them, you’re right… you have to watch what you eat.

We loved the Cirgue de Soleil too and had several DVDs. Thanks for joining in and sharing your world Kymber.

I’ve never been to a circus. An admission that drew startled and weird looks from my coworkers. I’m not even sure what a fun fair is. But I’m so agoraphobic now that it doesn’t matter what they are. LOL. Hugs.

Thank you. I understand. Crowds are tough for me now too, so funfairs don’t matter much in my world. Hugs.

I do not like carnivals or the circus either. In fact, I also don’t go to zoos because of how animals are treated. I love visiting animal sanctuaries. To see animals rescued from abuse/neglect or rehabilitated from injury warms my heart. Thanks for sharing, Kymber!
Many Blessings
Lisa

Thank you, Lisa. I agree. Sanctuaries are the only places that feel right to me.
