Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! This is a prompt by Di at Pensitivity and it looks like fun, so I’m going to give it a go!

You can join in the fun here: Share Your World!

Here are the Questions:

1.  The sun is shining as I type this, so my first question is:
After the cold weather of Winter, what is the first thing you like to do when the sun shines?

2. Do you tan easily?

3. Have you / would you use a nudist beach?

4. Were you any good at building sand castles?

Here are my answers:

  1. Open the windows! Sit on the porch with some coffee and say hello to the neighbors walking their dogs.
  2. Nooooo….. I just burn. Even with sunblock on.
  3. Ummm ain’t nobody wants to see this. LOLOL Big no.
  4. Not especially, although it was fun trying.

Thank you, Di, for this great group of questions! This was fun!

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

Happy timezones, Kymber! 💜 (By the way, I think this is my favorite blog greeting of all time!) VERY interesting questions, today! LOL!

1) I really like your answer. I’m not sure what mine is. We don’t have the kind of winters that you have and get quite a bit of sunshine through the winter, with mostly mild temps. I do like to go for a walk around the neighborhood, though, as long as it’s not too hot. (We hit 95 already, this past Sunday, by the way . . . UGH!!)
2) 😂😂😂 NO! Never. Burn, baby, burn!!! The sun and I are NOT friends.
3) Another LOL. You know, I’ve always been curious. I’ve never used one, and would certainly not subject anyone else to the site of my naked body. That might be deemed “cruel and unusual punishment.” On the other hand, I keep having these dreams . . . you know the ones, where you show up at work or school (or even church, egad!) naked? LOL!!!
4) I’ve never been that good at sand castles. I think I’ve made some basic, simple ones, but have always been mildly envious of people who could make those grand, majestic ones.

I’m so happy! It’s a simmer thing because we never know what part of the day someone is in. lol

95!! We’ll hit that in July and I say, “No thank you.” LOL

Me, too, regarding the sun. Sigh.

Yes, those dreams are freaky! I had a dream about my wedding like that and all the bridesmaids looked horrible in pea green, while I stood there in my birthday suit. It was a real nightmare. LOL

I love sand sculptures, and I love watching them being made.

Thank you for playing Di’s game today, Jeff! It’s great to see you!

I usually want to go take a picture of something.
I still tan, I just don’t get very dark.
No, absolutely not! Not just because I’m married either but we are definitely not into that!

Those are great questions and interesting answers. These are my answers.

The sun is shining as I type this, so my first question is: After the cold weather of Winter, what is the first thing you like to do when the sun shines? — yesterday it was 93 degrees after having cool (but not cold) temperatures. It was hot and sunny, so I sat outside and drank a refreshing cold beer.
Do you tan easily? — I easily burn but I can get tanned if I handle it right.
Have you / would you use a nudist beach? — Nope
Were you any good at building sand castles? — I was not good but I tried and got something built.

That sounds really nice!

As long as you had fun, that’s what mattered the most.

Happy Monday, Thomas!

The sun shines here when it is cold too, so I’m going to reply about what I would do when temps rise. Go for a walk without a heavy coat and winter boots.
2) Celtic skin, so no. I prefer to make it difficult for the sun to fry me.
3) Nope and Nope. No need to see and no need to show.
4) Yes, both structured and drizzle.

Happy Monday Kymber.

Allan

That’s nice that you still have sunshine. We’re just kind of a dull gray during the winter.

Your sandcastles sound lovely. Would love to see a pic of that sometime.

Happy Monday, Allan!

Hi Kymber, this is fun. I like your answers. Mine are 1. We have sun most of the year, even during winter, I like to sit in a puddle of sunshine and read. 2. I also burn so I avoid sun on my skin and always wear a big hat when outside. 3. No 4. I am very good at building sandcastles and built castles, forts, aeroplanes and Skull island for my sons on out huge sandpit.

I like your answers, too, Robbie. Here in the winter, the skies and everything just looks kind of gray. When that sun finally hits, it’s all you can do to contain yourself. lol

I bet your sons were delighted!

Happy Monday!

This was such a fun and refreshing read 😊 I love how your personality shines through every answer—especially the humor in the nudist beach one, that made me laugh! The simple joy of opening windows and sipping coffee in the sun feels so relatable and comforting. Thank you for sharing this lighthearted and cheerful piece—it really brightened my day.

I’m glad this made you laugh, Vijay. I have to have a sense of humor about such things. lol I, too, find sitting on the porch, drinking coffee, comforting. You can find me there most mornings when it’s nice outdoors.

I’m so glad your day was brightened.

After the cold weather of Winter, what is the first thing you like to do when the sun shines? Be outside in the sun and the warmth.
Do you tan easily? Yes, but I don’t try to tan anymore.
Have you / would you use a nudist beach? No, the only person that wants to see my body is hubby and bless him for that.
Were you any good at building sand castles? I’ve never even tried to build a sand castle, but I’d guess I would be terrible at it.

Have a fabulous day and week, Kymber. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

My sandcastles were just buckets of wet sand turned over to make towers. lol I tried when I was a kid. But ah, well. 😀

You have a fabulous day and week, too, Sandee. Love and hugs, and lots of scritches to the kitties. 💗🌺

When I see the sun shining, I look out my office window and reminisce about the days when I was a young, cool-cat water ski racer. I used to tan easily, but now I’m paying the price of having been out under the African sun for too many years! At least twice a month, I would take my beautiful young wife to one of the world’s most magnificent nudist beaches. But that’s just a memory now. Hey, who wants to build sand castles when there is so much to see by the sea? 🙂

Kymber @booomcha March 23, 2026 - 3:56 pm

Yes, I reckon you are right about that. 💗🌺 😀

After the cold weather of Winter, what is the first thing you like to do when the sun shines? The sun shines a lot in winter too here, so we don’t do anything special. Mostly we stay inside the first few weeks because everyone we never see is out and about and we are not fans of crowds.
Do you tan easily? Not really.
Have you / would you use a nudist beach? When Mom lived in Germany there was a nudist area of the beach. Sometimes they would run down the beach which was 10km long. Katie Mom’s Kuvasz would chase naked men jogging and Mom would get super embarrassed as she had to run and catch her. It was mostly off leash on the beaches.
Were you any good at building sand castles? Nope, no castles talent here.

That is a funny story about the nudist beach. 😀 I loved reading it and am glad you shared.
