My most cherished moments of communion with God came during the stillness of the early morning hours, from 2 a.m. onwards. With the household wrapped in the serenity of slumber, the profound quiet enveloped me, creating a spiritual sanctuary. Later, at one of my mission bases nestled in the Swartberg Mountains, I would awaken between 2 and 4 a.m. to seek divine connection. As I walked in prayer, the breathtaking beauty of the starlit sky often drew me to the mountainside, where I would lie down and gaze up at the celestial expanse, feeling awestruck by the magnificence of God’s creation.
Today, things have changed for me. Our household consists of two oldies, no longer able to rise in the ‘horns of the morning,’ as one of us struggles with sleep. Walks in the mountains are now only done in our dreams for physical reasons. But the gem is this: these days, I have conversations with God wherever I happen to be and throughout the day. I am delighted to say that these conversations are electrifying and unforgettable in the results they produce.
I hope you don’t mind the epistle, some habits die hard! 🙂 Oh, and although my words were aimed at the top picture, I did not lose your clever paradox. Well done Kymber.

LOL so for those of us who don’t have those cute furry higher powers, does that mean we are waking up to the other one?
