Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! This is a prompt by Di at Pensitivity and it looks like fun, so I’m going to give it a go!
You can join in the fun here: Share Your World!
Here are the Questions:
1. Do you wear glasses, and if so, can you remember your first pair?
2. If you were a precious stone, what would best describe you?
3. At home, do you wear slippers, slipper socks or walk around in bare feet?
4. How many pillows do you sleep with at night?
Here are my answers:
- I do wear glasses. My first pair was in the early 90s, and it was hard to get used to them.
- I would be amber. I looked it up and it said that amber is nurturing and comforting.
- I wear slippers or shoes.
- One.

Thank you, Di, for this great group of questions! This was fun!
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

I need at least 2 pillows at night, I feel suffocated if I don’t have two!
I hear you! I used to sleep with two as well. It’s good to see you!
I’ve only been regularly wearing glasses since summer and am still finding it hard to adjust, so it’s good to hear when someone else describes the difficulty!
Do you wear glasses, and if so, can you remember your first pair? Yes, I wear them a lot of the time now (see above), but I got my first pair was when I was about 47.
If you were a precious stone, what would best describe you? Probably opal. I’m drawn to it and it follows me.
At home, do you wear slippers, slipper socks or walk around in bare feet? Both. I wear slippers when it’s cold or when I’m doing things in the kitchen, but the rest of the time feet are bare.
How many pillows do you sleep with at night? One. Lately I’m trying to get used to a buckwheat one.
Hi, Stephanie! I hear you on the glasses. I went rimless once because of the difficulty I had wearing them. Now I’m used to them.
Opals are beautiful and I could see how it fits you.
A buckwheat pillow? Are they beneficial? I’d love to hear more about it.
It’s great to see you. Happy Wednesday.
Happy Wednesday, Kymber. <3
So far the buckwheat pillow has been helpful to my shoulder pain, but I’m not sure how, exactly. Maybe because the kernels move and yet the whole pillow still stays firm? I bought one where I can adjust the amount of buckwheat and am still experimenting.
That’s great about it reducing your shoulder pain. This pillow sounds really cool!
I’ve found it helpful so far! Thanks, Kymber. 🙂

Do you wear glasses, and if so, can you remember your first pair? Yes, 1993, when I was in college. It felt like I had discovered a whole new world.
If you were a precious stone, what would best describe you? Ruby. It’s my birthstone and is said to symbolize passion, vitality, and courage, according to my Google search. I guess they got it about right.
At home, do you wear slippers, slipper socks or walk around in bare feet? Slippers.
How many pillows do you sleep with at night? Like you, only one.
It’s neat how glasses can transform your life.
Rubys are beautiful.

Great answers! 😀
Thank you, Kymber.
My pleasure!
Thank you so much. 💗🌺
Welcome, my friend.
Happy time zones, Kymber! I love answering questions like this. 💜
1. I have worn glasses since the third grade, which was . . . somewhere in the mid-sixties. I don’t remember my first pair, but I remember how we discovered that I needed glasses. I couldn’t find the scoreboard at a high school football game LOL!!
2. Precious stones . . . I’m clueless, but Buzzfeed says I’m an opal. Hahaha.
3. I usually wear slippers. I have super-comfortable fuzzy slippers from Hey Dudes! (That’s my favorite shoe company)
4. One. And a Siamese cat Squishmallow.
There’s more to the glasses answer. I had lasik in 2004, and still only need glasses for driving and distance vision. I can read, work on the computer, and play music without glasses. I also wore contacts for about a year, but got tired of that.
Wow! That’s great about what lasik did for you.
Happy timezones, Jeff! I’m so glad you had fun answering the questions. Your responses are great! I love Squishmallows!
1 I used to, for over a year, then I switched to contacts. I was only 11 years old and not particularly vain, but those glasses annoyed me so much! They were a hideous pink (1977, Cuba) and very thick. Occasionally, I wear reading glasses now.
2 Aquamarine. I just love blue.
3 Slippers and if it is too cold, socks as well. Fluffy socks.
4 One. Big one.
I’ve never worn contacts, but I can see why you needed them, for sure. Aquamarine is so pretty!
I liked your answers
Thank you, Jo-Anne! 💗🌺
My first pair of glasses were when I turned 40. Black rimmed and I loved them. I could read again.
I would be a diamond.
I wear slippers all the time. I used to be barefoot, but with cats you just never know what you’re going to step on.
One pillow.
Have a fabulous day and week, Kymber. Love and hugs. ♥
I’m using readers right now and know what you mean about being able to read again. 💗🌺
Hope your week has gotten off to a good start! Love and hugs. 💗🌺
Thanks for joining in Kymber and sharing your world again this week.
Thank you for hosting this challenge, Di. It’s always so much fun! Happy Tuesday!
What a delightful and thoughtful set of answers! It’s always lovely to learn little personal details that make someone unique. The choice of amber is especially beautiful—warm, comforting, and quietly radiant. Your responses feel simple, genuine, and inviting, which makes the post a joy to read. Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your world so warmly.
Thank you, Vijay. You are very kind.

I have worn glasses since Grade 2. My first pair was the cheap black plastic form the 1960s. I always broke them and thy got repaired with Liquid Solder, so I always had a shiny silver glint in school pix.
Ammolite. Many different looks and colours.
