Do you prefer your home painted in neutral colours with pictures or furnishings to add warmth and character?
Do you prefer wooden/tiled floors or carpets and rugs?
Do you have an outside patio, balcony, or decking?
Do you prefer a traditional bathroom with bath/shower or a wet room?
Here are my answers:
The Mister and I live in a Victorian in a small village. Our walls have paintable wallpaper that is painted white. So, it adds texture and dimension without being too busy. We have many paintings and collectibles, books and things around to keep it warm and cozy.
We have marble floors in the kitchen and what we call the comfort room with area rugs. The rest of the house has the original wood floors and area rugs.
We have a sunroom at the rear of the house where the cats like to play, and two covered porches, but no deck or patio.
Our house used to be a bed & breakfast, so we have four full baths. Two of them are just showers, while the other two have clawfoot tubs.
Thank you, Di, for this great group of questions! This was fun!
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

My favorite color that I’ve painted rooms of my house in (before I was renting) was “bisque”, which is a neutral of sorts. Very soft.
Do you prefer wooden/tiled floors or carpets and rugs?
Wooden floors with lots of rugs. 🙂
Do you have an outside patio, balcony, or decking?
Right now, I patio. It’s so plain and I’m looking forward to giving it some color for Spring.

Thank you, Stephanie. We fell in love with it from the moment we first saw it. I’m so grateful for it. . There’s a lot of upkeep and remodeling going on, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. ☺️🌸
1) Neutral walls with a few feature walls (we have a suede paint finish in desert colour. Colour provided by artwork and furniture.
2) Wooden/tiled floors – no carpet, but a few area rugs.
3) We have a screened in back deck facing South.
4) 2 1/2 bath, one full with tub, one full with walk in shower for us old people.
Your house must be so pretty! I love everything Victorian.
1 Neutral colors and nice pictures, also lots of wood
2 Wooden or tiled floors for sure. We only have carpet in the bedrooms.
3 Outside patio, and we have more acreage outside the fenced area.
4 Traditional bathroom with bath/shower. We have a bathtub with jets that I enjoy in the winter. I had to google wet room 🙂
Thanks for joining in and sharing your world Kymber.
How lovely to be living in an old B&B. Hubby and I had hoped to be able to set one up in 2007, but we couldn’t have chosen a property with a worse design as there was no way we could put bathrooms in the bedrooms, all of which were off the lounge!
Do you prefer your home painted in neutral colours with pictures or furnishings to add warmth and character? We like the neutral colored walls and then hang things on the wall for color.
Do you prefer wooden/tiled floors or carpets and rugs? We hate our wood floors and carpet is a project with pets. Our plan is to get pet friendly flooring, LVP, this year for the main level and carpet only on the stairs and upstairs. The main floor will have the LVP over the wood floors and the carpet will go away and become also LVP. It is non slip too for older pets.
Do you have an outside patio, balcony, or decking? Deck and we like having a deck.
Do you prefer a traditional bathroom with bath/shower or a wet room? Traditional bathroom but we dogs prefer to never get baths, LOL!

Your home sounds lovely, Kymber!
Thank you, Jan. It’s a work in progress.
I’d love to visit your house! If only to sit in the tub, lol! Or a sunroom seat with the kitties!
The kitties would love that. C’mon over! 😀
Kymber, your place sounds absolutely charming!
Thank you! It’s a lot of upkeep, and right now we’re remodeling the kitchen. 😀

No real preference. I just like it to feel clean.
Bisque sounds like a lovely color.
Lots of rugs… Yes! I love that.
Spring will be here before you know it. I hope you have fun styling your deck.

Hi there! It’s great to see you. 😀
I had to google wet room, too. lol
That bathtub sounds so nice! It would be wonderful to sink into a bubble bath with the jets going, to read a book. 😀

It was my pleasure and a lot of fun!
I love where we live. It’s a dream come true for us.
I’m sorry your BnB didn’t work out. Perhaps sometime in the future?

LVP Sounds really cool! And it’s non-slip, too, which is an extra bonus.
LOLOLOL I can understand dogs who don’t want to bathe. 😀
