Untamed Wonder
On a knoll where whispers of wheat dance,
she gazes down, a tapestry of dust and dreams,
her little house clings to the earth like hope,
wooden bones adorned with the laughter of sun.
In the stillness, shadows weave stories of toil,
each creak of the floor, a heartbeat of the past,
where every stone remembers the weight of her heart,
and the plains stretch out, a canvas of untamed wonder.

You’re welcome
Kymber, your chosen title of “Untamed Wonder” offers two words that can definitely complement each other. Your verses offer a theme that takes me to the eastern plains of Montana were countless homesteaders came, tried, gave up, and left. Only distant memories remain anymore.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I was thinking of Montana when I wrote it, so that’s neat that you pictured that. 🙂
Kymber, thank you for sharing back. I was writing this morning, and images of Montana offered a window of wonders.
It’s a wonderful place, that big sky country.🌺

Very good story for the picture. I could just imagine the old pioneer days when people were settling the prairie lands and the hardships they faced. 🙂
