Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.

So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.

Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!

Round #88:

1. What’s the most unhinged thing you believed as a kid?

2. What tiny joy do you guard like a dragon?

3. What’s the craziest thing you’d name a pet on impulse?

Here are my answers:

  1. That a snake would come out of the toilet and bite me. 😧
  2. My teatime on the porch in warm weather.
  3. I’ve always wanted a chihuahua named Mr. Peabody. I would dress him in tweed. 😂

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

I have to admit I was pretty scared of your #1 until I googled it.

One: What’s the most unhinged thing you believed as a kid? — That there was a witch in the forest near our house who liked to eat children. We used to scream and throw rocks at her. (but there was no one there).

Two: What tiny joy do you guard like a dragon? — My beer time in my little beer garden on my porch (with mmy beer gnome)

Three: What’s the craziest thing you’d name a pet on impulse? — I don’t want to name our pets on impulse. However, our daughter named our mini-Australian Shepherd Rollo after the Viking King who tried to sack Paris. It was pretty impulsive but it worked.

LOL #1 is so crazy.

How frightening to have believed that! Gives me the shivers.

I love seeing your beer updates on Facebook, my friend.

I wouldn’t name on impulse either, I know what you mean. I think Rollo is a great name!

Ha, something biting you from the toilet seems to be a fairly universal one. I recall a few people at school were convinced rats would come out the toilet. One person was convinced a clown would grab her… I suspect someone watched the It! Mini-series with Tim Curry at far too young and impressionable an age.

Tim Curry was so good at that role. Lol.

I think you’re right that it’s a universal fear.

you know, i once saw the result of a snake coming out of the toilet and attacking a person. from that point onwards, I always flush first and then afterwards just to check.

a porch teatime during a warm day – doesn’t get any better than that! Mike

Oh dear! How icky and scary, too!

You’re right about that, Mike. It’s my favorite time. I like to chat with people walking their dogs while I sit there. 😀

Good morning, Bestie!
1. My funniest story about this is my family went to a place (I can’t remember if it was here or when we went out west on a trip). They had a thing where you get on a train and they pretended it was a hat today.stagecoach robbery. After the “robbers” left I still had my hands up in the air. My parents said I could put them down. I thought,”But, what if he comes back?” lol They probably couldn’t do that today.
2. The only thing I can think of guarding is my friendships, especially with women. Any time someone says something about my friends or insinuate anything other than friendship could be going on I get very defensive.
3. If I had two male cats I’d name them Frodo and Sam, of course. lol

Good morning, my bestie!

Do you remember a place called Stagecoach Stop in Irish Hills, MI? My setting in my books are in a place like that. Your answer reminded me of it.

I don’t blame you for getting defensive. Like, us, we can be best friends and keep it platonic.

Of course! I love it, and I love you!

Aliens were living among us (nowadays I think maybe I was on to something!!)
Shopping on my own in an antiques store (hubby slows me down)
“Killer”……how could I ever name a pet that?! I love animals – even the mean ones can be tamed with love (well……sometimes anyway!)

Hugs, Pam

I agree about animals and I love them, too.

I used to think that, too. I went to the library as an adult and said something to the librarian about it. She pretty much said,”There’s a globe over there. Figure it out.”
Nature is amazing, as is the cosmos. And, to think that the God that takes care of the sparrows cares about us individually.
That was great! Thanks for the laugh.
