1. What was your childhood “I’m running away” plan?
2. What was the first fictional character you fell in love with?
3. What’s the most dramatic exit you’ve ever made?
Here are my answers:
- I was six years old, and my plan was that I told my mom I was running away. Her response? She packed my suitcase for me and locked me out of the house. I never did that again. lol
- Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables. When I was a little older, I moved on to Mr. Darcy.
- It turned out to be dramatic all right… I exited and walked straight into a tree. The bump on my noggin reminded me to dial it back the next time.

What was your childhood “I’m running away” plan? I didn’t have one. I did tell my Mom she needed to pack me a lunch since I was going on safari to Africa. She did, and I got as far as the street I was forbidden to cross.
What was the first fictional character you fell in love with? India Wilkes in Gone With the Wind.
What’s the most dramatic exit you’ve ever made? I was mad at a girlfriend, and told her why, and then said with an indignant air, “I’m leaving.” I turned to go, and the door was locked. She had to giggle at my red face, which then caused hysterical laughter from both of us.

I’m not sure I ever had a running away plan until I was around sixteen, then I had to wait two more years before making my escape. But I used to think about how if I died, they’d be sorry for whatever punishment they’d dealt out. 🙂 First Fictional Character – Maybe Michael Landon from Little House On The Prairie. Most dramatic exit – when I left my first husband. He went to work and I packed. Love these fun little things, Kymber!

I was sixteen and I really left home. I never came back. It’s a long story. It was the right thing for me to do.
Barbie. I want all her stuff. She had absolutely everything.
I was a waitress in my younger years and landed on my butt in a restaurant full of people. Most embarrassing.

Happy Timezones, my sister! I love your responses. This is a tough one for me.
1) I don’t remember ever planning to run away. I might, however, have fantasized about living on the “mountain” that was near my house (it most certainly was NOT a “mountain,” but we called it one).
2) This is so hard! I’ve read a lot of fictional characters in my life. Oh!! Right! How could I forget! Not a book, but a TV show. Miss Emma Peel from the British TV show, The Avengers, played by Diana Rigg. I had a HUGE crush on her!!! 💜💜💜
3) The only “dramatic exits” that I can think of are from situations in my life that I don’t really want to think or talk about. They aren’t flattering or at all funny, and I was a different person back then. I wish I could think of one that is funny, like something I did as a child, you know. If I think of something, I’ll come back and add it.

Loved the answers, Bestie. I can’t remember the first character I fell in love with. I remember loving Choose Your Own Adventure books. Also, my parents bought a nice set of classics like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I wish I still had those. My podiatrist has a really nice set of books like that in his waiting room.
