Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.
So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
Round #86:
1. What was your childhood “I’m running away” plan?
2. What was the first fictional character you fell in love with?
3. What’s the most dramatic exit you’ve ever made?
Here are my answers:
- I was six years old, and my plan was that I told my mom I was running away. Her response? She packed my suitcase for me and locked me out of the house. I never did that again. lol
- Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables. When I was a little older, I moved on to Mr. Darcy.
- It turned out to be dramatic all right… I exited and walked straight into a tree. The bump on my noggin reminded me to dial it back the next time.

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

What was your childhood “I’m running away” plan? I didn’t have one. I did tell my Mom she needed to pack me a lunch since I was going on safari to Africa. She did, and I got as far as the street I was forbidden to cross.
What was the first fictional character you fell in love with? India Wilkes in Gone With the Wind.
What’s the most dramatic exit you’ve ever made? I was mad at a girlfriend, and told her why, and then said with an indignant air, “I’m leaving.” I turned to go, and the door was locked. She had to giggle at my red face, which then caused hysterical laughter from both of us.

I’m not sure I ever had a running away plan until I was around sixteen, then I had to wait two more years before making my escape. But I used to think about how if I died, they’d be sorry for whatever punishment they’d dealt out. 🙂 First Fictional Character – Maybe Michael Landon from Little House On The Prairie. Most dramatic exit – when I left my first husband. He went to work and I packed. Love these fun little things, Kymber!

I was sixteen and I really left home. I never came back. It’s a long story. It was the right thing for me to do.
Barbie. I want all her stuff. She had absolutely everything.
I was a waitress in my younger years and landed on my butt in a restaurant full of people. Most embarrassing.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Kymber. Love and hugs. ♥
1 It was only a phantasy for me. 2 I didn’t. 3 Difficult question. Probably the day I left my parental home.
Hi there! Thank you so much for playing! I liked your answers a lot. 🙂
[…] It is Thursday, so it is time for Kymber’s Get to Know you over at Boomcha.com […]
Thank you so much, Sandman. I always enjoy your answers and can’t wait to read them!

Thank you, Maggie! I can’t wait to read your answers!
Happy Timezones, my sister! I love your responses. This is a tough one for me.
1) I don’t remember ever planning to run away. I might, however, have fantasized about living on the “mountain” that was near my house (it most certainly was NOT a “mountain,” but we called it one).
2) This is so hard! I’ve read a lot of fictional characters in my life. Oh!! Right! How could I forget! Not a book, but a TV show. Miss Emma Peel from the British TV show, The Avengers, played by Diana Rigg. I had a HUGE crush on her!!! 💜💜💜
3) The only “dramatic exits” that I can think of are from situations in my life that I don’t really want to think or talk about. They aren’t flattering or at all funny, and I was a different person back then. I wish I could think of one that is funny, like something I did as a child, you know. If I think of something, I’ll come back and add it.
Happy timezones, brother! Thank you! I’m glad you liked them. 😀
I hear you. I live near Mount Holly which is a good place to ski.
All righty, no problem. 🙂
Thank you so much for playing, Jeff! It’s fun to read your responses.
I hope you don’t have a scar on your forehead. 😊
Hahahaha! I just spit my coffee out. lol No, it’s faded to nothing, thank goodness, but would have served me right. 😀

Thank you, Di! I can’t wait to read your answers!
Thanks!
Smart Mom!
I think she was, too. You should have seen me banging on the door, begging to be let in. hahaha
This is such a warm, inviting, and joyfully interactive post—it really feels like stepping onto a friendly porch just as you described.
What stands out most is the tone. It’s welcoming without being overwhelming, playful without losing sincerity. The little details—tea, lemonade, “happy timezones,” even the gentle nod to lurkers—create a space where everyone feels included, whether they participate or simply read along.
Thank you, Vijay. I’m glad you liked this post. 🙂
Kymber is a very sensitive and caring person. I know this is exactly how she’d want someone to feel.
So true, Court, in that I’m happy he feels this way. Thank you. xo
Loved the answers, Bestie. I can’t remember the first character I fell in love with. I remember loving Choose Your Own Adventure books. Also, my parents bought a nice set of classics like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I wish I still had those. My podiatrist has a really nice set of books like that in his waiting room.
Good morning, Bestie! Long time, no talk. hahaha
I loved both Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn when I was a kid. I liked Huck Finn better.
I wish you still had those, too. That’s cool about your podiatrist.
Huck Finn was in the collection, too.
That’s awesome! Which one did you like better?
I don’t remember. Everything gets all muddled. It’s been too many years.
That’s understandable.
