I read The Three Coffins, by John Dickson Carr (a popular locked-room mystery), That Which Feeds Us (ARC), by Keala Kendall, The Kamogawa Food Detectives, by Hisashi Kashiwai, My Antonia, by Willa Cather, The Full Moon Coffee Shop, by Mai Mochizuki, Before Your Memory Fades, by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, I’ve Tried Being Nice, by Ann Leary, and This Homeward Ache, by Amy Baik Lee. My favorites out of all of those were My Antonia, I’ve Tried Being Nice, and This Homeward Ache.
We’ve been watching The Pitt, Death in Paradise, Almost Paradise, and Queen Charlotte. Oh, and Angel on Monday nights (the Buffy spin-off). We might have watched Wake Me Up, Dead Man (the Knives Out movie) in February, but that might have been January. And an occasional episode of Friends when we don’t have time for an hour long show.
The Pitt is a great show, but it gets pretty gory, sometimes. But the cast is really good. Brad Dourif’s daughter, Fiona, is in it, as well as Bryan Cranston’s daughter, Taylor Dearden. Their characters are two of my favorite in the show.
I am reading right now The Unseen word by Liz Moore, written in 2016, that seems to foretell the future of AI, particularly in regards to human interaction and communication way before it started, or at least before it was known to the general public. I haven’t finished yet but it is fascinating.
Happy March, Kymber. It does look like you were well entertained throughout February. Your reading list looks like a good balance of light and dark. Northanger Abbey is the one Austen book I haven’t read. Did you enjoy it? Hugs.
What a joyful and uplifting update this is! Your enthusiasm is absolutely contagious, and the way you share your progress makes reading feel like a celebration rather than just a goal. Being ahead of schedule already is fantastic, but even more inspiring is the positive energy you bring to the journey—it’s clear you truly love what you do, and that passion shines through every line.
Thank you so much, Vijay! I’m so glad you enjoyed seeing my reading list and show/movie list, too. I’m happy you could also see the passion behind the words.
You’re most welcome! I truly enjoyed going through your reading and watch lists — they reflect not just great taste, but a genuine love for stories and ideas. It’s always a joy to see someone so passionately connected to what they read and watch, because that kind of enthusiasm is contagious and inspiring.
Your blog is a work of art in its construction!
I love the pics of you and the kitties.
Your lists are wild and your tastes are varied. I don’t think I can match any of them.
I watched 56 Days on Amazon Prime, it was really good!
I was reading Stephen King but had to turn Dont Flinch in early cause someone else is waiting for it, but it’s on hold for me.

That sounds like such a good book! I must put it on my TBR. And get to it soon. You read a lot of great books!
I want to see The Pitt. We haven’t started it yet, though. I really like the Knives Out movies. So good.

Thank you, Carol Anne. I did enjoy them, although, I don’t always recommend the books on my read list. These were good, though.

Thank you, Vijay.
I have seen The Woman In Cabin No. 10 and The Thursday Murder Club. Terror In The Wax Museum sounds interesting.
It’s a good, old movie. I like classic films a great deal. I hope you enjoy it if you watch.
February was a wonderful month and March will be even better. Love that spring is right around the corner.
Nice stack of reads. I’ve a stack of books that need reading here. Books can take you around the world without us leaving our comfortable chair.
Have a fabulous day and week, Kymber. Love and hugs. ♥
Thank you, Sandee! I think you are right about March being even better. I love that Spring is right about the corner, too.
I’m so thankful for books, for that very reason. 🙂
Have a fabulous week, my friend! Love and hugs.
