The day after Christmas shrugs off its red and green, tinsel tangled in yesterday’s memories. The leftover turkey winks from the fridge, while socks and sweaters lie tangled in ceasefire. No more carols, just the quiet hum of gratefulness, pajamas worn like badges of festive war! We sip lukewarm coffee, laughter fizzing softly, appreciating love wrapped not in paper, but in moments between the unwrapped chaos.
Very beautiful poetry, but that couple on the couch would not be sitting there if the roof was leaking so badly it was letting the snow fall INSIDE!😂 (Just teasin’!)

The quiet of the days after Christmas are rather soothing after the hectic prelude to the festivities. With just the two of us (and Teddy) we have a cozy holiday. I always think the Christmas tree looks sad after all the packages at her feet have disappeared…….I tell her “there’s always next year to look forward to!”…………………….. Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Newly-opened gifts under the tree awaiting their first usage, wear, etc. Turkey chilling in the fridge for turkey salad sandwiches tonight. Waiting for the chance to see a small-ish bit of snow to cover the landscape post-Christmas. Hope you have a great day-after, Kymber!

For us the day after THIS year is going to breakfast with our nephew we haven’t seen in a year and our youngest son. I can’t wait to catch up and maybe I’ll even remember to take pictures!
