A Dog’s Heroic Journey
He lies by the fire truck,
spotted coat gleaming in the sun,
ears perked for the call,
the sound of sirens like music
to his eager heart.
Each day, he runs with purpose,
paws pounding the pavement,
a hero in his own right,
proud to serve,
tail wagging through the smoke.

Nice Kymber, I have been looking at this and am finding it hard to complete one.
Thank you, Ernie. If you look at my poem, I basically started out by describing the picture, then went into how the dog looked proud and heroic, etc. I hope that helps. And I know when you’re finished, it will be a work of art. 🙂
