Alone

Narrow, wet streets
Lonely, abandoned
Silence is unbearable
Closing in
Nothing to fear
And nothing to hope

Happy timezones, Friends, and welcome to another No Theme Thursday! It’s great to have you here! I hope you like the poem I put with Kevin’s picture.

It’s short, not so sweet, and not really a poem. I’m not sure what it is. lol

It’s not about me, but I reckon I’m in a mood. Sorry for the downer.

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

Hello Kymber! I read again your poems (not remembering is this round 10 or..) Anyway it is interesting to see what I feel now when I read. Now this line got my attention ”Silence is unbearable” I understand what you mean by this but as a musician I like the word ”silence” and I enjoy being in silence. I do not know why, but your poems always give me a positive feeling, you have something special when it comes to your way to write, must be, because it gets me feel good. I have your poems in my book marks and I will visit your poem page always when I have time. Do you want that I write a comment what I find or feel or is it better that I just read and keep silence? I do not want to disturb anyone. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving! By the way I am watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV Show, have you seen it? It is pretty funny. And I sincerely thank you for.. (I have noticed your support). You are very kind, thank you!! Sirius (my cat) sends to your cute ones hellos😸😸😸

Round 10? Wow! That is a lot, Jean. 🙂

I never thought of that through the eyes of a musician, but it makes sense. Silence is a precious thing in music.

I’m so thankful you like my poetry. That is wonderful!

I don’t mind your commenting at all. It’s lovely to get fgeedback.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a good show!

Josie-Pye, Max, and Binxie send their love to Sirius.

I don’t know about whom this poem is but it stopped me. Of course the loneliness but actually I started to ponder the 2 last lines. ”Nothing to fear
And nothing to hope”. You can see this in two ways.. I see this in the positive way. If there is nothing to fear that is very good and if there is nothing to hope, it seems to me that then this person is satisfied what she/he has or where she/he is otherwise she/he had something to hope. I understand also the other meaning and I hope things get better.. anyway very interestingly written. Have a good weekend and say hello to your lovely cats 🐱🐱🐱

Hello, Jean! Good to see you!

I love that you pulled a positive meaning out of these words. I agree with you. 🙂

You have a good weekend, too, and the cats say, “Meoooow!” which means hello. 😀 😀
