The Haunting of Her Existence

The Haunting of Her Existence

Alone in shadows, she sits in fright,
bound by chains of sorrow and fear,
grief whispers through the veil of night,
a specter lingers, a ghost so near.
In the bedroom of her tormented soul,
the skeleton’s presence takes its toll.

LOL Thank you, Allan. I agree with you. A haunting could be anything from your past; it doesn’t have to mean an actual ghost.

Happy unhaunted Monday to you, too!

I like your poem to go with the picture. Never mind actual chains, a person can feel chained down by sorrow and fear and the ghosts of things that happened in the past just as much.. 🙂

Reply
Kymber Hawke August 19, 2024 - 10:46 am

Yes, when I wrote this, I was trying to conjure up a picture of depression. 🙂 Thank you so much for your kind words. I agree with you.
