A Day with You

This is John Willoughby and his intended, Miss Penelope Buckner. They’re one of my couples from the late 1800s, and to be married in three months. Until then, they enjoy long walks together.

So, this post is not part of a story, but part of my game play. I have a save for the 1800s, a save for the 1920s, a medieval save, and my story save. Do you like to play different time periods, too? Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I like the look of the sepia Sims Kymber. Nothing wrong with an old timey version. Happy Thursday. Allan

Those pictures are so good. They tell such a rich and interesting story.
I haven’t played with different time periods with my sims. Although I should since I am such a big history nerd!
I did try to style my sims in 1920’s fashion while they were in Roaring Heights (but they still lived a modern life).

Thank you so much. 🙂 I’m glad you like the pictures.

Hello, fellow history nerd! xoxo 😀

I love Roaring Heights with a passion. So much fun.

I am such a history nerd, especially American history. Although, I am starting to get into European history.

European history is fascinating. I think you’ll really enjoy it. I tell myself I’m only going to read one thing I happened to come across, then, before I realize, I’ve gone right down the rabbit hole. lol

I love the idea of having saves in different time periods! I really want to try it myself.
Your pics are so lovely.

Thank you so much, Heather! I’m a total history nerd. LOL I love exploring different time periods, so it seemed natural I’d use sims for that, too. 😀

great pictures Kymber

again it looks more like sims 4 but I have never seen lots of long grass like this before. its not perfect but it doesn’t look not far off.

I’ve been doing a few pictures in sims 4 for a special mix up for my story and at times I wanted to pull my hair out…

the cheat codes are really annoying because they are a little different than S3. so I keep forgetting the right codes and the poses…

It took me a day to used to that teleport statue :/ I wish we could move the sims in build mode.

Sim 3 may have its faults with the game bugs it has. but I think the posing is a lot better

but it dose have a few things I like, the way you can get them pose all in one is very cool and a lot faster to use 🙂

if only they could make a mixture of the two game for the poses…

how are you getting on with the poses in S4 or are you like me and prefer S3 poses?

Thank you, Darren. I actually placed the tall grass on that lot myself.

You can find it here: Grass and Weeds

I agree with you about the posing in TS4 as compared to TS3. I don’t like that in 4, you can’t use the moveobjects cheat. It takes some getting used to. As you said, the all in one is nice. I don’t know if I like posing in 3 better because it’s easier, or if it’s just easier because I’m so used to it.

I’ve never owned a horse but you capture How I think I’d walk alongside them. Beautiful.

Aw this really feels like a step back in time and the pictures are so lovely. I really want to do a gameplay of historical times, but I want it to be oriental. So far I haven’t found enough oriental cc so I never began.

Thank you so much. 🙂 That sounds like fun! When I play a historical theme, I get totally lost in it. I hope you’re able to find the Asian CC you’re looking for.

That’s such a cool idea, I love it! What a sweet couple, too, going for walks and taking their horses out together. Can’t help but “aww” at that! x

Thank you, Caz. xo They are such a sweet couple. I’m sure they’ll have many more walks like this one.

I wish I had discovered the sims prior to now. I’ve been simming since 2018 so I don’t have any experience with the previous franchises. I have a lot of saves and one from the 70s and that’s not easy as I thought it would be to find custom content for. But its Isaiah when he was a child. That’s about as far back in time I’ve gone for now.

Kymber May 20, 2020 - 10:23 am

Wow! I think it would be great seeing Isaiah as a child in the 70s. That sounds like fun. I haven’t tried to find period CC for TS4, but in TS3, it’s easy to find. I’m still learning the ins and outs of TS4 myself. Your story and gameplay is so amazing, though. I love it!
