Without further ado… I bring you a Nantucket limerick:

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who liked to eat chicken from a bucket
He got no delight when the chicken took flight
So, he said, “Next time I will pluck it.”

There was a young girl from Nantucket
Who kept her fish in a bucket….
The bucket she stole
It had a hole
And the fish died where she stuck it! —Jonathan Caswell
(Ad lib humor, you understand! 😀 )

I like it 🙂 very funny Kymber 🙂

maybe not a limerick… but it’s still a great quote, never the less :)) By Stan Laurel

“You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be led.”

Pahahah love it! Best make sure, before plucking or going in the bucket to eat, that the chickens aren’t alive either 😂

Haha. I’ve heard that one before. Many years ago, though I believe it was
“There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
But his daughter, named Nan,
Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket.”
and it kept going with many other versions including one with Pawtucket instead of Nantucket. The leading line lead to many variations, now yours. lol

Waaa haaa haaaa! No doubt this man from Nantucket is a man who likes his free range organic non GMO chicken very fresh. Great limerick Kymber. You did get a snort laugh from me on this one.

Reply
Kymber June 16, 2019 - 9:21 pm

YAY! Then I can pack it in and call it a day! LOL 😀 I love what you said about the kind of chicken he likes. haha

I think this Limerick is begging for companionship. You should continue as you please until you can hear all of us squealing in delight across the globe. My only concern is I might forget to put my coffee down before I read you. My iPad is hard to read after I snort laugh coffee all over the screen. Big hug and hope you are doing well.

Kymber June 18, 2019 - 1:58 pm

Ohhhh, companionship, you say? Interesting thought! 😀 You have that snort/coffee problem, too? I thought it was just me. But, then, we INFJ’s tend to be like that. haha Thank you for the hug and encouragement. Sending you one back. 😀
