Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts.
So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
Round #63 This or That:
- Shopping online or shopping in-store?
- Science fiction or mystery?
- Movie adaptations or books?
Here are my answers:
- It depends on what I’m shopping for. If it’s something more unique, online. If it’s an everyday item, I’ll just stop at the store. I’d rather do my antiquing in person.
- I like both, but I like mystery more.
- Usually books. Occasionally, the movie adaptation.

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo
NOTE: I apologize for any questions that may be repeats. I’m not doing it on purpose. lol
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

Online, but I love bookstores. I can’t believe how expensive paperbacks have gotten since I had my used paperback store. I usually go to B&N and then buy the books I want on my kindle.
Science fiction. For years I didn’t want to admit I liked science fiction-fi movies because the bad ones are horrible but I love the original Star Wars, LOTR and Space Balls off the top of my head. I don’t like things that make me anxious.
Books are almost always better. I believe that LOTR is the exception.
Meant to say sci-fi, not science fiction-fi. lol
lol
I used to live in the used paperback store. Found so many goodies there.
I agree that LOTR is the exception.
Love your intriguing Q&A KymberNoodle! 😍💖🤗
Thank you, Chickiepotpie! 😀 🩷🌸
You’re so very welcome KymberNoodle. It’s always my pleasure! 🤗🙆🏻♀️😁

Here are my answers
Shopping online or shopping in-store? I am a major online shopper—less anxiety for me.
Science fiction or mystery? Oh, I love a good mystery.
Movie adaptations or books? Books are better than movie adaptations
Hi there!
I can understand wanting less anxiety.
Me, too!
Same here. I think books are better in general.
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Sunday!
Great answers…
Shopping online or shopping in-store? For gifts its online… Food is or course in-store
Science fiction or mystery? Mystery or Drama is my favorite choice
Movie adaptations or books? Movie adaptations…
Thank you, Willie. 🙂
Makes sense to me. That’s how I am, too.
That’s awesome. I like drama and mysteries, too.
Oh, nice! I can understand that.
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Sunday!

Thank you, Fedora.
Absolutely shopping online – unless it’s clothes, and then I actually have to go to a store unfortunately. I hate trying on clothes.
I like both, but I’d choose sci-fi over mystery.
Always books!
I hate trying on clothes, too. Blech.
Sci-fi is a great choice!
Right on, Teri!
I’m so glad you played today! Thank you. And, happy Friday!
Stores… You don’t always know what you are getting from online shopping.
Mystery…. More realism.
Books 100%
That’s true. I bought a dress online and the quality is uber bad. lol
I like mysteries better, too. 🙂
Right on, KC!
Thank you so much for playing. Happy Friday!

I usually just lurk, but
in store
when young, sci fi but now mystery
books, not even close
I’m so glad you didn’t lurk this time. 🙂
I love your answers. My taste in books has changed over time, too. 🩷🌸

Thank you, Fandango!
Depends on what I am shopping for as to which one is preferable.
I am a mystery girl.
I prefer books. Many more details are captured in the writing than in the movie adaptations.
That makes sense to me.
I love mysteries! Great choice!
Yes, this is true and I agree with you 100%!
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Friday!

Online for sure. Stores make me break out in a rash.
Mystery – Maybe cause that’s what I write.
Definitely books. Of course, if I ever sell a screenplay, that could change.
I hear you on shopping. I feel like that sometimes, too.
Good choice!
That would be great, selling aa screenplay!
Thank you for playing, John! Happy Friday!
My answers are up 😊

Thank you!
Fun topics, Kymber. I used to be all about science fiction/fantasy. The way I am now though, I need “gentle” books and shows, so I gravitate toward cozy mysteries.
But right now, Velma, co-feline overlord demands attention. Hugs.
I can understand tastes changing over time. I’m just happy when I find a book that pulls me right in.
Give Velma and Daphne scritches from me. 🩷🌸 Hugs.

Thank you, Astrid!
Easy questions for me this time. I hate ALL shopping, so do most of it online. Of course, that initiates returns, but at least I’m not out in public. 🙂 I like both sci-fi and mystery, but if I had to choose, mystery would win. And MOST definitely, books over films!
Hi, Jan! I’m glad the questions were easy. I can understand hating all shopping. I think I would be that way, too, if it wasn’t for my antiquing.
Mystery wins the day for me, too. 😀
Books over film! My thoughts exactly!
Thank you so much for playing. Happy Friday!
books over films
Right on, John!
Shopping online or shopping in-store? Online.
Science fiction or mystery? Mystery.
Movie adaptations or books? Books are always better, but I say both.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Kymber. Love and hugs. ♥
Yes! To mysteries. I love curling up to a good one on a rainy day.
I like both, too, but I try to read the book first. Sometimes I don’t realize the movie is from a book and then I’m wishing I had read it first. lol
Thank you so much for playing, Sandee. I wish for you to have a happy Thursday and rest of the week. Love and hugs. 🩷🌸
1) Until the whole tariff thing, I would have said on-line, but I have no intention of ordering from Amazon any more, so likely in store.
2)Definitely sci-fi
3) Books. It is better to read the book before watching any screenplay adaptation.
Cheers Kymber. Allan
That makes perfect sense, Allan.
I totally agree with you about the book needing to be read first. I have found this to be true most of the time.
Thank you so much for playing! Happy Thursday and cheers!
Often, the product is available online and hard to find in person. I was stunned when Costco was 33% CHEAPER than Amazon on a particular cleaning product.
Oh, yes, that is so true, Jacqui. Wow! That’s a good thing you checked them both out.
Happy timezones, Kymber! 💜 These are great questions.
1) My answer has changed, over time, on this one. I most definitely prefer shopping online. We have a new HEB grocery store that opened last year, near us. I get most of our groceries there, and have yet to step foot in the store! Curbside pickup or delivery (only rarely for delivery).
2) Science Fiction for me. Even better if there’s a mystery in the science fiction. I do love mystery, but I have been a science fiction fan ever since my dad introduced me to Arthur C. Clarke and Isaac Asimov when I was but a lad. I would also put Fantasy up there, between SF and mystery. Book recommendation. When Earth Shall Be No More, by Paul Awad and Kathryn O’Sullivan. Mind-bending!
3) Almost always book. I’m getting ready to read The Woman in Cabin 10, by Ruth Ware, because I saw they are making a movie about it with Kiera Knightley. So I can watch the movie and complain because that’s not how it happened in the book. 😂😂 The only movie adaption I have EVER liked more than the book is The Princess Bride. The worst movie adaptation I have ever seen was The Firm, allegedly based on John Grisham’s novel, but I’m not sure they really read the book. LOL!!
Happy timezones, Jeff!
That’s so cool about the curb side delivery and never having actually gone there. lol I’ll admit, curb side delivery is a blessing at times. 🙂
I will definitely look that book up! Thank you for the recommendation!
They probably didn’t read the book. lol Sad how that movie turned out. I agree with the best being The Princess Bride. We rhyme like Fezzik in our house. (Anybody want a peanut?) lol
Thank you so much for playing. I hope you have a happy Thursday!
😂💜💜
🩷🌸🤣
In person for sure! I want to be able to physically HOLD the thing I’m buying.
Hmm. I don’t read much of either, to be honest. I’m more of a fantasy girl. But there are a couple sci fi books I really love.
Books all the way. The book is always always better. (Except, of course, V for Vendetta.)
Hope you’re having a lovely week! 💖
I can totally understand wanting to hold the item you’re buying. Makes sense.
I find exceptions like V for Vendetta every once in a while. But not usually.
Thank you so much for playing. Happy Thursday!
Both………Mystery………Books!
Pam
Awesome, Pam! Thank you for playing!
