Bird by Bird was the first writing book I read a long time ago and I should probably read it again at some point. It’s a fun, feelgood quote, but I’m not sure if I agree with it. I mean it’s ok to write about people we know, but if it’s not a flattering account of a person then maybe do it in a ‘the names have been changed to protect the (not so!) innocent’ way or something?
