Round #60:
What’s your favorite birthday dessert?
Red Velvet Cake- homemade by my grandmother who has passed. The memories of past birthdays are great.
What is one thing you still have from when you were little?
That little monkey doll who had a banana you could put in his mouth (a monchhichi)
A thing I always lose is
My phone
The cake sounds so nice. I love that you have that memory about your grandmother.
Oh! Was his name Zip? I had a monkey doll who wore red overalls and a yellow shirt with his name, Zip, on it.
I hear you on that one!
Thanks so much for playing! Happy Thursday!
❤️❤️🙌

My favorite birthday dessert is fruit salad. Second is mango float
Those sound really good, Hazel! 🌺🩷 Thank you for playing! Happy day to you!
A blessed day to you, kymber
You’re most welcome. Stay amazing!
[…] are my answers to Kymber’s Get to Know You #60.1. What’s your favorite birthday dessert?Carrot cake is my favorite cake, and it’s not reserved […]
Thank you, Melissa! I’ll be right over soon as I can!
Hi Kymber! Here are my answers:
lemon merengue pie
my teddy bear. My mom sewed on replacement button eyes several times. Hoping to give it to a GK if we ever get one (Kristen… if you’re reading… hint😉)
the TV clicker in the bedroom. They need a “clapper” sort of thing to show its current position, eg, down the slot between the mattress and the the frame with the duvet covering it 😵💫😂
What’s your favorite birthday dessert?
What is one thing you still have from when you were little?
What object do you lose the most?
Hi, Darryl!
Lemon merengue pie is The Mister’s favorite dessert, too!
Your teddy sounds sweet. I hope you can give it to a GK one day. The hint has been given, Kristen! 😀
Yesssss! I feel your pain. That’s what happens to our clicker, too!
Thank you so much for playing! I hope you have a happy weekend!
Hi Kymber
1) Bavarian Apple Torte cheesecake
2) Very little, just a few photos.
3) My mind. Things are a bit crazy as the sandwich generation.
Hope all is well with you. Allan
Hi there, Allan!
That dessert sounds amazing!
Photos are so important.
LOL You aren’t the only one around here whose lost his mind. 😀 😀
I hope all is well with you, too. Happy weekend!
Another fun set of questions! 😀 I bet your doll is worth a few dollars now, as a collector’s item. My answers:
1. Tuxedo cake (chocolate and vanilla)
2. My baby shoes
3. My phone as well. I’m forever calling it to find it. 😆
I wonder… her glasses are missing and she doesn’t speak anymore. But I have seen places where you can send the doll for restoration.
Happy weekend!
[…] Get to Know You #60 […]
Thank you, Fedora. I’ll be over soon!
I am with you when it comes to chocolate cake
Right on, Joanne!
Those were fun questions and interesting answers. These are my answers.
What’s your favorite birthday dessert? Caramel cake with tangerines
What is one thing you still have from when you were little? I have to admit I don’t have anything from my childhood aside from memories
What object do you lose the most? I rarely lose stuff, but I’ve lost my credit card a number of times. I always got it back though.
Thank you, Thomas! I’m glad you had fun. 🙂
That sounds really good!
Memories are good enough, I think. 🙂
You don’t strike me as someone who loses things. It’s nerve wracking losing a credit card, but glad you got it back!
Happy weekend, Thomas!

Thank you! I’ll be over shortly!
It’s an odd sense of Deja Vu, but I feel like I’ve answered these ones before. 🤔 But it’s probably just me lol
You know, I thought they were original, but then I do vaguely remember answering questions like this. I apologize for any repeats. It was unintentional. It’s not just you. LOL
No apologies necessary. I didn’t mind at all. It was just niggling around in my brain that it felt familiar lol
It did that to me after it did that to you. LOLOLOL
Here’s mine Kymber

Thank you, Carol anne! I’ll be over shortly!
Chocolate cake with vanilla butter cream and big purple flowers (2nd best an ice cream cake any flavor)
Sadly nothing but a few snapshots 😕 although i still have a brass key chain i saudered in 11th grade circa 1986-87
The tv remote. Which sucks because its the only way to turn on/use the tv. I miss buttons/dials 😆
That cake sounds good! So does the ice cream cake!
That’s so cool that you still have the keychain. It’s something you soldered and now you will have it forever.
I misplace the remote, too! So frustrating since, as you said, there are no buttons on the TV anymore. I miss buttons/dials, too.
Thank you so much for playing! Happy weekend!
My favorite is Cheesecake Factory’s Reese’s PB Cheesecake – and I can absolutely scarf down a whole piece in one sitting.
Nothing comes to mind that I have from my childhood.
Also can’t think of anything I lose regularly. But I did spend countless hours helping my sons keep up with their Gameboys when they were little – especially the youngest one, lol.
That sounds soooo yummy!
Yeah, I feel ya’, we had to keep track of one Gameboy and it drove me crazy! lol
Happy weekend, Teri!
Chocolate chunk cheesecake.
Nothing when little but an Eagle Scout ring from when I was fourteen.
My air pods.
I need that cheesecake in my life!
That is so special.
Ah, yes, the air pods! I feel your pain.
Happy weekend, John. I hope it’s a good one.
I like your answers! And, aww Mrs. Beasley doll! I remember that.
My answers would be an old time favorite – home made orange cake, and I think I have a stuffed lamb from when I was a kid, and I lose photos on my computer. I know they are there and on my phone, but I have spent way too much time scrolling trying to find a certain one when I want it. Then I just give up. haha 🙂
Thank you so much! I watched reruns of Family Affair every day with Mrs. Beasley. lol
That orange cake sounds lovely.
Awww… a little lamb. Sounds so sweet.
I lose photos on my computer, too! How does it happen? LOL I give up, too. lolol
Happy weekend ahead! 🙂
Hello, and happy timezones right back at you! ☀️🕰️ This porch is cozy, and I’ll definitely take a glass of lemonade, thank you kindly!
Here’s my Round #59:
Favorite birthday dessert: Warm apple crumble with vanilla bean ice cream 🍏
One thing I still have from childhood: A tiny book of poems my grandmother gave me
Object I lose the most: My glasses… even when they’re on my head 🤦♂️
This was such a lovely way to connect—thank you for the invitation. It feels like a sweet gathering of kind souls. 💛 Looking forward to hearing everyone’s answers!
Lemonade coming right up, my friend!
That sounds delicious! I love that dessert!
How lovely that you kept that book of poetry all these years. Very cool!
LOLOL I can’t understand that as it happens to me, too.
I’m so glad you enjoy all the answers from other people. Your response to this was really lovely.
welcome Kymber ❤️🌹
I can’t say I have a favourite dessert. I am making a spice cake with raspberry and butterscotch frosting for Easter. I still have my Peter Rabbit and my Beatrix Potter books. In fact, I have a lot of my childhood books. I also lose my phone.
Your dessert sounds so yummy. What special books! I bet you feel nostalgic a lot when you look at them. I love that feeling.
Happy weekend, Robbie!
vanilla wafers
and oven baked burgers
That sounds tasty!
mom took away my ironing board and apron at age 11~
lol
When I was young, it was angel food cake. Now if say coconut cream pie!
I think somewhere I have a tiny white, knit hat from my toddler years.
My mind, lol.
Oooooooooooh! Yummy!!
That’s so sweet.
Your mind… LOLOLOL
Happy weekend, Kim!
I had a Mrs Beasley too! But I know longer have her, you’re so lucky. ‘Do you want to hear a secret?’ 😊Maggie
You did? That’s awesome! She doesn’t speak anymore and her glasses are missing, but I still have her. 😀
Have a happy weekend, Maggie! 😀
❤️

#1. Probably extremely chocolatey dark chocolate cake, but I never have that for my birthday because that’s what both my brother and my Mom always have for their birthdays. So I usually have strawberry shortcake with homemade whipped cream.
#2. I have a tendency to keep anything that has sentimental value. So I have lots of little items that mean something to me, but everyone else would consider to be junk. I kept a bunch of old books that I read as a kid. Stuff like that.
#3. I agree with Sandee. My mind. 😅 Actually I misplace things a lot. And usually I don’t look for them, just wait for them to turn back up, because if I look for them I could discover they are actually legitimately missing. And that concerns me. So I always just hope things show back up. (I’m very strange, I know.)
Hope everyone’s having a great week! 😊
I can understand not wanting the redundancy. Strawberry shortcake with homemade whipped cream sounds delicious.
I have that tendency, too. I think that’s great that you kept your childhood books.
LOL Your mind! Still laughing over that. I understand your way of thinking, but it’s not strange. 🙂
I hope you have a terrific weekend!
1-Angel food cake with fluffy, sticky white frosting
2-Three pieces of hand-made, wooden Barbie furniture my grandpa made for me (bed, couch, rocking chair) and a one-seater horse buggy for one of my collection of Breyer model horses (still have the horses, too)
3-Everything I put in a “safe” place. 🤨
Oh that sounds so good!!
I bet those items really bring back memories. What a special grandpa.
LOLOL Me, too!
What’s your favorite birthday dessert? Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting with vanilla ice cream.
What is one thing you still have from when you were little? A picture of me when I was about six months old.
What object do you lose the most? My mind, but that’s not an object. Nothing else comes to mind.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Kymber. ♥
Your birthday dessert sounds awesome!
That’s so sweet. Pictures are so important.
Your mind! hahahaha
Thank you, Sandee. You have a wonderful day today and a great weekend!
Okay, I’m on top of this one! So I won’t be late to the party.
1) I’m inclined to agree with your answer. I remember always wanting a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting when I was a kid. I am also, however, quite fond of “cookie cakes.” You know . . . those giant chocolate chip cookies with lots of icing on them (we always order as many words as we can get on them, so as to get a lot of icing)
2) I still have my first Bible. It’s King James Version, because that’s pretty much all we had, with a beautiful, colorful cover. I remember being quite proud of it. It has color pictures in it, as well, and the 23rd Psalm on the inside cover. The inscription reads: “Presented to Jeffrey Wayne Bickley By Mommy and Daddy, Christmas, 1963.” I might be crying a little right now.
3) I think the bigger question is what do I NOT lose? LOL!! While I do misplace my phone a bit, I think I lose my water cup more often. The other night, I left it on a bookshelf while I was putting away the book I was reading. It took me quite a while to finally find it again. I’m also constantly misplacing it at work.
Thank you for doing these. They are so much fun! 💜
Oh yes, I know what cookie cakes are. My goodness, that sounds tasty.
I’m crying a little, too. That is the most precious story. I bet it brings back lots of memories for you.
LOL Yes, I agree with your bigger question, and I feel your pain. lol
I’m so glad you enjoy these. I enjoy the answers so much.
Ha! About the phone. That would push me over the edge.
Meeee, too! LOL
