Happy timezones, dear friends! Let’s begin with ThrowBack Thursday! It’s a bit blurry but this is a pic of the girls in the family.
On the left, wearing glasses is my mother. In front of her is my little sister Kari, then me, and in blue is my older sister Krissy. I happen to be holding our cat, Q-Tip (oops, he’s a boy and here I said it was a pic of the girls! lol), with help from Kari.
I think I was about 14 in this picture. I had stopped growing and remained a shorty even while my younger sister Kari surpassed me in height by the time she was 12. lol I take after my maternal grandmother who never made it past 4’11”.
Small side story: I was 18 and still being offered the kiddie menu at restaurants while my little sister was offered the adult menu. So, when they said, “Would you like the children’s menu?” I’d smile and say, “With crayons, please.”
Smaller side story: We all had the same initials of K.C., being named, Krissy, Kimmy, and Kari. Well, those were our nicknames. We were actually Christina, Kimberly, and Karena. I don’t know why they spelled Christina with a “C,” but then they spelled Krissy with a “K.”
I was the dreaded middle child! 🙃😱 If you know, you know. My dad was also the middle child, so at least someone understood. haha
Most of my friends and family call me Kimmy, even today. But my dad started calling me Kymber when I was a tween, and that’s where that came from.

Aw that’s a lovely photo! I couldn’t tell you were even holding a cat at first because he blended in with your white dress. Mind me asking how tall you are? They say good things come in small packages, but short people problems are real when you can’t reach anything in the supermarket because the shelves are too high up!
Cesare looks so cute under the tree! Have any baubles been pulled off this year? Virgil doesn’t seem bothered in the slightest. I guess that’s a good thing but it’s unnerving 😆

Merry Christmas Kymber. I too was a middle child and I have to admit I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sandwiched between two sisters I was always forgotten because my parents were so busy with them. Man, I got away with so much!

I can relate so much to the small story. I was 39 when I went to a Converse store and asked for a Jack Purcell. The employee led me to the kid’s section and I was like: No, it’s not for my daughter. But she continued to lead me to that section and I nearly got mad when I saw another employee, approached him, and left the first employee who tried to assist me. I told the male employee I was looking for Jack Purcell. But then he also led me to the kid’s section. And I told him it was for myself and not for my kid. Then he went on to explain that just by looking at me, they knew I would easily find my size in the kid’s section. And there it was, I found my Jack Purcell. Oh, life! 😁😂😅

Oh my goodness Kymber, I so love that TBT photo ChickieNoodle! Look girlfriend, I am a middle child too, so I totally get you! Love that story about the children’s meal and a side order of crayons! 🤣😱😜 I am an average height 5’5″ and my sister and mom were shorter than me. But I’ve been wearing high heels since high school when platform shoes came out (the 70s) and I still wear them. People think I am much, much taller until I take them off and then their faces show that they are in a state of shock! 😲 But I don’t care! Ha-ha!
