Transforming Images: My Journey with ChatGPT

Grandpa was a memorable character. He was a lot of fun even when he wasn’t trying to be.

I enjoy talking and hearing about fun family things, especially from our elders. My car has three AI’s all waiting for any opportunity to chat about things of interest. They all know each other because when I ask one to do something they tell me to ask one of the others instead. It’s like having family in the car.

You deserve a big ole cyber hug of gratitude. My grandfather had to have hospice care his last year. He had reached 103 and was well on his way to achieve 104. His hospice nurses made his last year a joy for him and family. He was always in a good mood, full of merriment when they were with him. Listening to his stories and encouraging him meant all the difference. He went peacefully in his sleep with zero drama leaving all the rest of us to wonder how he pulled that off. I think the joy the nurses gave him, made all the difference for him.

There is a special place in Heaven with a view and room service reserved for nurses. My great grandmother was a nurse back when the only qualifications were be strong, of good moral character, and compassion for the sick. She learned nursing on the job. The hospital was a boarding house two blocks from her house. It’s still there after 105 years but was converted back to a small boarding house. I have a picture of my great grandmother wearing her white uniform with little black hat and the biggest smile you ever saw. I think she liked her job or as my grandfather says, she was grateful to have a job. A lot of my daughter’s friends are nurses. They were young and new during Covid and that experience forever changed them. When people talk of heroes, I think of nurses.

Next time I’m digging in the picture vault, I’ll pull it out and post it. Yes, nurses are the reason I’m still here bloviating in everyone’s comment section. I was in a military hospital for a year recovering from misadventure and an army nurse took care of me and we became let’s get better together friends. She actually looked after me for another year after I left the hospital to help me relearn how to wander around aimlessly and get into mischief. When I had fully recovered she said goodbye and left me to my new found fate. That was a very long time ago and I still remember how hard she worked to get me on my feet so I could leave the nest on my own. I wonder sometimes how deep the heart can be. Maybe after so many patients didn’t make it, she decided I was the one that would. We both have a story that includes these beings of light that surround us.

I think at times when we most need them, our guardian angels manifest themselves into human form and help us through those difficult times. Such a period in our life is a lesson about the healing power of compassion and a chance to gain a remarkable insight into ourselves, our faith, and the importance of benevolence. Once touched by the light you become the light and the rest of your days shine brightly.

The only thing left to do is make good use of the lessons learned and pass them on.

I’m working on a top secret project in my garage to create a pandemic of benevolence. It spreads by human contact in the form of hugs and kind words. There is no vaccine but some hearts and minds are immune. However, the majority of humans, cats, and dogs will develop benevolence after just a few hugs. Well, one might have to offer pear wine and honey buns to speed it along. 🤗🥂🥮

LOL! No vaccine will put some at ease. I wonder if I can get this to spread using flowers and bees? I’ll work on that too.
