Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! This is a prompt by Di at Pensitivity and it looks like fun, so I’m going to give it a go!
You can join in the fun here: Share Your World!
Here are the Questions:
1. What is the worst place you have ever lived in (house, town, caravan, other)?
2. Would you like to live in a large property with a big garden or a small cottage in the middle of nowhere?
3. Do you feel comfortable in a crowd/group of people?
4. Do you enjoy your own company?
Here are my answers:
- I won’t name the town, but it was in Illinois. I love Illinois, so I’m not throwing shade at that fine state. This just happened to be pretty bad. I was five years old and there were cockroaches. It was so gross. We only lived there for a year.
- A small cottage in the middle of nowhere.
- Yes, I’m fine in those situations.
- Yes, I like being alone, too.

Thank you, Di, for this great group of questions! This was fun!
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

I’m sorry I got so far behind! Ugh!
1. When I was in seminary, married to my first wife (a whole lifetime ago), we lived in this horrible little shack that they called “Married housing.” It actually had two bedrooms, but tiny. The ceiling fell in twice while I lived there.
2. I would prefer the small cottage in the middle of nowhere (as long as I had room for books)
3. It depends on the people. If they are good friends, yes. But honestly, I’m not even entirely comfortable in a large group of my church family, because I don’t know all of them.
4. Hahaha! I don’t know. I like being alone, so I guess so. But sometimes I annoy myself. I like it better when I’m focusing on Jesus instead of me.
No worries, Jeff.
That sounds horrible!
That’s a great answer about focusing on Jesus instead of yourself.

What is the worst place you have ever lived in (house, town, caravan, other)? Definitely Iraq. Seeing how regular Iraqis were living in 2004 broke my heart.
Would you like to live in a large property with a big garden or a small cottage in the middle of nowhere? Small cottage in the middle of nowhere.
Do you feel comfortable in a crowd/group of people? I’m an introvert, so less is better, but I can fake it in group settings.
Do you enjoy your own company? Absolutely! As an introvert, I love to be in my head all day.
That sounds so sad about Iraq.
Your answers are great! Di has terrific questions.
I remember it like it was yesterday. Thank you, Kymber.
Thanks for joining in Kymber and sharing your world.
My Mum told me about cockroaches in the cellar when she was a child and the entire floor moved! Urgh!!
It’s my pleasure, Di. You have great questions!
Oh that is so gross. I’m so glad not to deal with that anymore.
Thank you for following my humble photo site, Kymber, I love the way your site looks and content. Be well! ❤️
It’s my pleasure. I enjoy your photography and can’t wait to see more.
Thank you. I’m glad you like my site. You be well, too.. <3
For me it wasn’t the location, but the some of my roommates in college that made it unbearable. Sooooo much drama.
I wouldn’t mind the big garden as long as it came with a gardener to do the upkeep!
I can be with a large group for a while, but it quickly drains this introvert’s energy.
I absolutely enjoy my own company!
Hey, I need a gardener to come with mine, too. Oh wait, The Mister does that. LOLOL
Great answers!
Once when I was growing up, we lived on a farm, but did not get access to the “big” house. My bed was inside a cleaned up granary. Not sure if all the mice were gone or not.
I am perfectly happy with my current home. Large…enough, with a wonderful back yard created and tended by myself (nobody to blame). That being said, we love our trips into cottages in the middle of nowhere for short stints.
I like small groups best. Less confusion and distraction.
I am great on my own.
Happy Monday Kymber. Allan
Great answers, Allan! I love seeing your trips into cottages and elsewhere. Your photos are amazing.
Happy Monday, Allan!

Good to see you! Di had some great questions today!
This is quite a remarkable question for me. I had to think hard and then came up with, ‘I’ve never lived in any worse place.’ 2. Neither would suit me. But a cottage in a town not far from a restaurant with Portuguese cuisine and another with Italian cuisine. 3. Among some groups, yes, and others no. 4. Love my own company. Thanks for sharing, Kymber – a fun quiz.
I thought it was fun, too. Di always comes up with good questions.
cockroaches, yuck! I’d be super freaked out! I hate bugs of all kinds!
We never had them since, thank goodness. It was enough to set me on edge against them for life.
What is the worst place you have ever lived in (house, town, caravan, other)? My dad was a builder who would sell the house we lived in and then build us a new one. The new one was no where near done when he sold one house so we had to live in an old dump of a house for about six months. It was awful!
Would you like to live in a large property with a big garden or a small cottage in the middle of nowhere? Large property with a big garden for my hounds to play on.
Do you feel comfortable in a crowd/group of people? I avoid crowds. I was a flight attendant for 11 years, locked up on planes for up to 15 hours with people and I really am no longer a people lover. Small groups only.
Do you enjoy your own company? Yes, I do, but it normally includes at least one of my hounds.
Great answers! I should have said my alone time comes with some kitties. lol
