The Misunderstood Midnight Rider

The Misunderstood Midnight Rider

In Halloween’s embrace, I bravely ride,
A headless horseman lost, or so they say,
With cloak of shadows, through the woods I glide,
But ’tis my pillowcase that’s gone astray!

On this grand steed, I gallop deep in fright,
Not seeking heads, just candy for my feast;
The darkness laughs as I misjudge the night—
Oh, how they scream! Is laughter now released?

Yet in this dance with danger and delight,
What’s evil here—a horse or just my plight?

Part spooky, but with lightheartedness mixed in. A fun poem, Kymber! I hope he finds the pillowcase and can fill it with candy.
