In Belize (2010), we took a hike through the jungle so we could explore some caves. It was raining but we didn’t get wet because of the overhead foliage in the jungle.
I got to go a few years ago on a cruise. I picked a bad itinerary. We did the zoo and some lame man-made pool thing. I liked Cozumel better.

LOL It was blessedly cool in the caves and we all got to wear a hat with a light on it. It was fun to explore. But I can totally understand being afraid, too. 💗🌺
