Lovely! I immediately thought of The 10,000 Doors of January, by Alix E. Harrow.

I haven’t read that but it’s on my TBR now. 🩷🌺

I’m a fan of Alix! Especially her Fractured Fairy Tales.

Wow. I literally had a similar image of this in my head for a book and came across it just the other day, Kymber. Kind of freaky seeing it here.

That’s pretty wild, Teri! And like you said, freaky!

A door in the middle of nowhere, like that. If it leads somewhere else, where does that door lead? I would be afraid of going in.

Reply
Kymber @booomcha December 10, 2025 - 3:36 pm

Yes, I would be, too. I’m not sure what I would do.

A door
This door
A door like this in a movie

Does it lead to something romantic, adventurous or uplifting? And would we think that due to the influence of movies, tv show or even children’s books?

But I, see an omen. Of bad things to come. Or the end of the world.

Is it a glass half empty, or a glass half full scenario? What could this door mean?

I have the same questions in mind, too. This door gets my imagination going!

bmitjessesue December 10, 2025 - 1:49 pm

well I’m glad it’s not just me then! I’m not a leap into action kind of person. More like a sit back, stare and watch with calculation.

No, it’s not just you, Bee. 🙂 I do the same thing.

Good thing neither one of us will be wanting to do drastic things like jumping off a bridge then. I mean you can if you want to, but I will be waving at you happily with my feet planted securely on the bridge.

Kymber @booomcha December 10, 2025 - 2:17 pm

LOL I’ll be beside you, no fear of me jumping. 😀

A door to somewhere, near or far
an escape or a beginning.
At this point, I don’t care;
just take me where there is no care.

A land, a journey
where sorrow finds its ending
not today,
but tomorrow.

New beginnings,
new blessings.
Lock the door,
hide the key.
Give me joy,
and give me peace.
