Father and Son

Father and Son

Father and son
Work side by side
Learning new things
Father never to chide.

Father loves boats
Son loves them, too,
Father has taught him
And gives him a clue.

“This piece goes here,”
He says with such pride
Son glued it on crooked
Then began to cry.

Father is gentle
With his words and his eyes
Son is cherished
Because Father is wise.

  1. A good message Kymber. I still treasure the time I had with my sons and even now, even though it is diminished. Happy Tuesday. Allan

  2. If only I wish that sailboat had been a baseball mitt in my childhood life. I like the simple messages you portray so understandably in your blogs.

    1. Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words. My dad and I played catch with a softball all the time. One of my happiest memories was the Christmas I had barely turned 10. My aunts and uncles, my parents and grandparents all got me baseball stuff; a mitt, bat, a new ball that was smaller, etc. Maybe I’ll show a picture of that Christmas and write something about it.🌸

  3. Sorry for your folder woes and happy they’re sorted. I know that frustration!
The image and poem are beautiful. Thanks for sharing and all the best, Kymber 🤗💕🙂

    1. Thank you, Harmony! 🙂 It was a disaster, that’s for sure. lol Kevin’s images really spark creativity in me. I’m so glad you enjoyed the poem.🩷🌸

    1. Thank you so much, ChickiePotPie.🩷🌸 I hope most fathers are like this with their children. I’m so saddened if they’re not. I’m glad you liked the poem. 🩷🌸🩷🌸

      1. I loved it indeed KymberNoodle! If relationships aren’t like this, then they need a lot of work! Make the rest of your evening FANtabulous ladybug! 🥰💖🤗🥂😘

    1. Thank you, Jacqui. I first thought of that line as describing my grandmother. But then I thought, that should apply to everyone, especially children. 🩷🌸

  4. Very, very nice, Kymber. I’ll be honest, this isn’t something I had growing up, but it gives me a warm feeling within.
