WELL, YOU GOT TWO PROFILES—SIDE VIEWS– AND A SLEEPY VIEW FROM IN FRONT. THAT’S BETTER THAN THE LAST TIME I TRIED PHOTOGRAPHING MY CAT—-THEY WALKED TOWARD ME BEFORE I WAS READY AND WALKED AWAY WHEN I WAS! YOU CAN’T TELL THEM TO SIT UP PRETTY AND SMILE, BECAUSE THEY’LL IGNORE YOU! CATS—LIKE PEOPLE—CAN BE VERY FRUSTRATING CREATURES! VERY INDEPENDENT—BUT WHEN IT’S THEIR FEEDING TIME!!!!!!!!!!
Bud’s used to cameras in his face now, and I always have my smartphone ready for photos of opportunity, but when I use my Canon, I always let him come over, sniff it, bunt it, paw at the strap if he likes, and then forget about it, which is obviously the most crucial point.
It only takes a few minutes and your chances of getting a good shot are increased exponentially.
I was fortunate enough to work with amazing photojournalists and learned from them that you can never really take too many shots. If you get 10 good ones, and one or two great ones out of 100 shots, you’re coming out ahead.
Those of us who have and love our calicos and torties are well familiar with the tortie-tude. But we love them in spite of, or because of, it, don’t we?
