So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.
Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!
Round #59:
- How would you feel if I tried to talk to you before you’ve had your morning cup of coffee?
- What’s your most repeated movie quote or phrase?

Here are my answers:
- I would feel fine. 🙂
- ‘Men should be like Kleenex, soft, strong and disposable.’ – Mrs. White, (Clue 1985)
- I was vegan for several years and my daughter started calling me “Meatball.” LOL 😀

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo
↬ Happy timezones, Friends! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve been feeling under the weather. I’m trying to get back and caught up. Thank you for your patience. ↫

Talking before coffee – good. Thinking before coffee – Not happening.
Do ya feel lucky punk….Well, do ya? Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry
Gouldilocks, especially now I have no hair.
Happy Tuesday Kymber. Allan
Kymber, thank you for your kind invitation to join this conversation. As for morning coffee, I would be more than happy to make two cups instead of one. One of my favorite movie quotes comes from the last line spoken in “Casablanca” as Humphrey Bogart addresses Claude Rains: “Louie, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” In the middle of the coming war’s darkness (WWII), these two men on opposite sides of the conflict find friendship.
Oh, I love that! Making two cups of coffee. That’s wonderful.
I love that line from Casablanca!
I do think that is such a great movie and I love how they can find friendship, too.
Thank you so much for playing!
Kymber, here are my answers:
1) Fine, as long as it’s after 10am
2) “Liiiiighten up, Francis…” (Stripes).
3) Schmedly (???)
LOL Your answers are terrific! 😀 I love that quote. haha Thank you so much for playing. Happy Sunday!
Great answers.
The meatball is funny. 😆
I hope you’re doing fine.
Take care, take your time, and feel well.
Have a fantastic day ahead.
LOL Katy is very creative and funny. 😀
Thank you so much for your well wishes. I’m doing great now and am jumping back in!
I hope you have a wonderful Friday and weekend!
So you might have also gotten other nicknames from her, lol.
You’re most welcome.
Thank you, and I hope you have one as well.
You might say that. hahaha She’s a character!
Thank you. 🙂
😆
You’re most welcome.

Hi Kymber. I am sorry to hear that you have been under the weather lately. Sending good vibes for a speedy recovery. Blessings to you!
Regarding your questions.
I would be okay and courteous without coffee. Kindness is always good.
“Shaken, not stirred ” Mr. James Bond- 007

Fifty-nine of these, Meatball… erm… Kymber, and they continue to be fun.
1: I’d probably be bleary-eyed and incoherent, but I’d still be nice.
2: “Run away. Run away.” –spoken by the fleeing knights in Monty Python’s Holy Grail as they clap coconuts together.
3: Dylah – not too weird, but the name my little cousins gave me that stuck for life!
LOL Thank you so much. 😀 Yeah, I was a vegan meatball. LOLOL
I love that movie!!! And that’s my favorite part of it, too. lol
I love that nickname. So cute and nice!
Fantastic
Thank you!

Glad to see you back! Don’t worry on catching up, take it from day one 💗 people should understand that, and life happens 😊 I’m glad you feel better 🙏 I’m on a short break now but hopefully will be back to posting in a few days
Thank you, Laura. That’s so kind of you to say. I hope you’re enjoying your little break and I look forward to you coming back. xoxo
Ooh! I’m late to this one.
1) I would be fine. I love my coffee, but it isn’t as essential as I pretend. I can function before I get it.
2) Good question. I have quite a few. “You keep using that word! I do not think it means what you think it means.” “Have fun storming the castle!” “As you wish.” And, of course, “Allo! My name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father! Prepare to die!” (All Princess Bride) “God help us, we’re in the hands of engineers!” (Jurassic Park) “Shiny!!” (Serenity)
3) Red-headed goony bird. My best friend’s little sister called me that.
I’m late too, Josh. I like how you said “pretend.” I know what you mean. 😀
I LOVE the Princess Bride! One of my favorites. The other quotes are terrific, too!
LMAO!! That nickname is priceless! 😀

Thank you, Fedora. I’m sorry I’m so late with my response, but I can’t wait to see your answers!
You can talk to me before coffee but at your own risk! LOL
“Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner” – Dirty Dancing
I was called ‘carrot top’ because of my red hair
💖
LOLOL That’s funny and so honest, Eugi. 😀
I love that line from Dirty Dancing!
Carrot Top is a great nickname for a red head. 😀
Thank you, Kymber. 😊
You’re welcome, Eugi!
Fantastic post 💯 I hope you have a great day 🦋 Blessings 🏵️🌺🦋
Thank you so much! I hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend, too! 🩷🌺
How would you feel if I tried to talk to you before you’ve had your morning cup of coffee? Very perplexed, as I would be wondering how you got into my house.
What’s your most repeated movie quote or phrase? “I’d buy that for a dollar!”
What’s the strangest nickname you’ve ever been given? Bubba. Not that it’s particularly odd, but I only had one friend that called me that, and what made it odd was that in my family, “Bubba” didn’t mean “Brother”. It was what my family called my great grandmother (my paternal grandfather’s mother).
LOLOLOL Perfect answer! 😀
Love the quote!
I always wondered what Bubba meant. We call my youngest Little “Bubs.” lol
1-You can talk to me all you want, just don’t expect a response. 😉
2-“Have fun storming the castle.” (Princess Bride)
2-Bucket of hog liver (endearment from Grandpa) 😊
Good one, Kaye!
I love the Princess Bride! Great line!
My grandpa used to call my sister “Peaches” and then he’d turn to me and say, “You’re full of prunes.” LOL
Here’s my response https://artmater.com/get-to-know-you-59/
Thank you so much! I can’t wait to read your responses!
[…] Kymber Hawke at booomcha hosts this fun trivia quiz to get to know you. […]
Thank you!
I don’t usually have a morning coffee, but I need an hour to wake up..so don’t talk to me at all 🤣, “I can handle being shot, stabbed in the back and run over by a train, but what was the crack about halitosis ? -Mervin Milgram “What are you going to do about it?” -Transcription Machine (Who done it ? 1942)
I had a girlfriend go from calling me M to Mmy to Nessie 😑🙄
LOL SO funny! 😀 People generally don’t talk to me in the morning until I’ve turned music on.
Great movie references; great quotes!
Interesting nicknames! Great answers!
Thanks 😁

1 I would be fine. My coffee comes after the dogs are fed, and I have plenty of conversations with The Producer.
2 “She’s Dead Jim” from Star Trek
3 Magoo in high school. (I used to imitate Jim Bacchus)
Hi, John!
LOL
I love that line from Star Trek. One of my favorite lines from the series is, “I’m a doctor, not a bricklayer!”
That would be fun to hear! 😀
How did you feel about the nikname “meatball’, I can’t think of any strange nicknames I have had as I type this
I thought it was funny and I was glad it didn’t catch on with anyone else. lol Perhaps one will come to you. 🙂
No problem. I am a morning person.
Patience 007
Sorry, not very strange… Georgie
I love the name Georgie. 🙂 Your answers are great!
Great answers, Kymber. Here’s mine:
I don’t drink coffee so I’d be fine!
“I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!” – The Wizard of Oz. I loved that film and was terrified of the witch!
Chokey – because I was always forgetting to pull out the choke on my car (yes, back in the 90s, cars had a choke!). My dad called me this and still does!
Thank you, Esther!
I guess you would be. When I was younger I wasn’t much of a coffee drinker and people knew not to talk to me until I turned music on. lol
That’s my #1 favorite movie of all time! I was scared of the witch, too.
LOL And your dad still calls you that. 😀 😀 I love it.

[…] is Thursday, so Kymber over at Boomcha.com has posted the latest in her Get To Know You […]
Thank you so much! Can’t wait to read your answers!
As for me:
How would you feel if I tried to talk to you before you’ve had your morning cup of coffee? I am not a morning person but I would be fine.
What’s your most repeated movie quote or phrase? “11:55 Almost midnight. Enough time for one more story. One more story before twelve. Just to keep us warm.” It is said by Mr. Machen at the beginning of the horror movie “The Fog” from 1980. I frequently use that quote when I drink a beer and write a beer review right before midnight. However, I change it to “11:55 Almost midnight. Enough time for one more beer. One more beer before twelve. Just to keep us cool.”.
What’s the strangest nickname you’ve ever been given? “Tumpe” a Swedish nickname for Thomas, which is not very common, and a bit childish like “Billy ma Bob” for William.
You strike me as very calm and reasonable. I believe you would be nice regardless.
I love that quote and had forgotten it altogether until now. 🙂 I love how you change it to fit beer! lol Very creative.
Oh, I see. Thank you for telling me about this nickname and what it means.
Dear Kimberly, here are my answers:
Q1: Not good, pissed off as hell, oh I desperately need my daily coffein dose.
Q2:”I’ll be back”, T-800 – The Terminator. In my opinion, one of the best lines ever in a movie.
Q3:”Crazy Guy”. Yeah, I am slightly and utterly crazy. Call me anything you like. But don’t say that I’m “normal”. I’ll consider this as an insult.
Have a glorious day 🌞
Snap on the Terminator Chris. My favourite film. I’ve watched it over a dozen times and still think it;s going to get her!
So glad you like it, a classic 😉
I’ve seen them all, and T2 (special edition) was tops for special effects.
I agree 💯
That is so true.
Hello, Chris! Great to see you!
LOL I find that to be reasonable. LOL
That quote is epic! Love it so much!
That’s great, Crazy Guy! 😀
I hope you have a glorious weekend!
Likewise Kymber 🌞
1.) I don’t usually say a lot in the mornings before coffee, but I’m approachable.
2.) It’s either “You’re gonna need a bigger boat” or “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.” Depends on the day.
3.) A good friend used to call me “Joliet Jake.” I called him “Elwood,” of course.
I’m glad you’re still approachable. That’s good.
I understand how it depends on the day. Love those quotes!
I love it! I had a fish once name Elwood P. and my other fish was Beatrice Minerva. 😀
Good ones. I’m getting better about talking before coffee. Not quite to the ‘fine’ level though!
No problem there. I can relate to that. Like, just give me some peace with this cup of coffee, please!
How would you feel if I tried to talk to you before you’ve had your morning cup of coffee?
Well, I don’t drink coffee, so I imagine I would feel just fine. I’m very energetic in the mornings, so I could hold a conversation just fine if everyone else in the house didn’t sleep til ten, 😆
What’s your most repeated movie quote or phrase?
Something from Lord of the Rings for sure. Twelve hours makes for a lot of quotable moments! Probably when Frodo says “Get off the road. I think we should get off the road. Get off the road, quick!” I say that whenever we’re walking and a car is coming. 😉
What’s the strangest nickname you’ve ever been given?
My cousin calls me ‘Jarsinicus.’ I really don’t know where that came from. . .
Hope everyone’s having a wonderful week!
Ah, a morning person! I’m a bit of a morning person, too. I like being up before everyone else.
LOL I love LOTR. 😀 And that quote is great! I love that you use it in every day live.
That’s a funny nickname! 😀
I hope you have a great weekend!
