Mood Boards: Marty & Xalen

13

Have you ever created mood boards for your characters? I saw someone else do some, and they tagged me a long time ago to do my own. It was fun, and actually helped me define my characters better!

Here are the ones I did for Marty and Xalen:

Martha (Marty) Larochette Sprague, PhD

Marty was the Generation 4 Heir of Noble Doubt, the daughter of Blue Larochette who lived on a special island with her husband, Matthieu.

Marty loved archaeology and eventually earned her doctorate in anthropology with a focus on language.

Xalen Sprague, PhD

Marty’s husband, Xalen Sprague, was also a doctor of anthropology and he showed Marty the ropes as they worked together in Egypt.

By looking at Marty and Xalen’s mood boards, can you tell what kind of people they might have been? Or what things were important to them?

I challenge you to do mood boards for your characters, if you’re so inclined! And I will post more this week, too.

Happy timezones, good friends! Noble Doubt is a completed dramatic SimLit story told by the main character through a series of diary/journal entries. Every 30 chapters, the next heir takes over to narrate their own story, all the way through 10 generations.

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

  1. Interesting to do this, and fun! I kind of did a deal on my Pinterest board for my fan fiction story. I found all kinds of things to represent the characters and different places and people in the story. I think I deleted my Pinterest a long time ago though. Who knows, it might still be there. I got scared I’d be sued for using photos I found here and there. I’m still not sure about that if we were supposed to ask permission when we find a picture on google. Didn’t know how to do it anyway ??? 🙂
