Have you ever created mood boards for your characters? I saw someone else do some, and they tagged me a long time ago to do my own. It was fun, and actually helped me define my characters better!
Here is the first one I did:
Blue Capra Larochette
Blue was the Generation 3 Heir of Noble Doubt, the son of Leo Capra who was a rockstar. Her whole life, she hated the attention from Leo’s fans that interrupted all the important moments in her and her father’s lives. In order to cope, she did something that drastically changed her future…
By looking at Blue’s mood board, can you tell what kind of person she might have been? Or what things were important to her?
I challenge you to do mood boards for your characters, if you’re so inclined! And I will post more this week, too.
Happy timezones, good friends! Noble Doubt is a completed dramatic SimLit story told by the main character through a series of diary/journal entries. Every 30 chapters, the next heir takes over to narrate their own story, all the way through 10 generations.
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

I’vee never done this! How cool though
Thank you, Bella! I’m glad you liked this.
You’re welcome!
Character traits bring dimension to 2 dimensional people and sims. Happy Wednesday Kymber. Allan
Thank you so much, Allan! I’m sorry for the late response. Happy Sunday!
This is a neat idea. With many characters, I write notes about their personalities, backgrounds, behaviors, etc. This mood board is a more visual way of doing it. Cool stuff!
Thank you! 🙂 I make notes like that, too. I want my characters to be detailed so when something happens in the book, I can determine better how they would react, if that makes sense.
Having read about Blue, I think you really succeeded in putting her sense of family forward. And the diaies!
I made some mood boards for my principal characters a few years back. Here’s the link if you want to check them out:

This is excellent! I’d love to see them! Heading there now!
Hey! I remember that! It’s gorgeous!
Thank you 🙂
How awesome KymberNoodle. I never created a mood board, but I have created storyboards that included the character’s mood and characteristics. Excellent post ladybug! Bravo! 👏🏼😘💖🤗🙆🏼♀️
Storyboards! Yes, that is a great idea, too, ChickiePie! 🌺 Thank you so much. 🙂

Mood boards look like a great way to get in touch with the characters. Thanks for the suggestion.

🤣😂
No I’ve never nor have I played sim games. I haven’t tried a lot of new things it seems, even though they might help. I’m just a boring writer lol.
Noooo not boring at all, Kim! lol I was thinking mood boards could be created for any set of characters, sims or not.
I need to work harder on character development.
I do, too. I try to come up with back stories for each one. It’s not always easy.
An interesting thing to try. Thanks, Kymber 😃
You’re welcome. I’m glad you found it interesting.
I’ve never done that. It is interesting.
Thank you, Jacqui! It’s fun. 🙂
