Old Stone

An “Old Stone” SimLit Shout-Out!

Writing SimLit stories is a special thing that is fun, and rewarding, too.

It recently came to my attention (thank you so much, sims4magicaltales!) that the popular Sims magazine, Sims Community News, mentioned my story Old Stone in an article about the ins and outs of SimLit writing.

I’m, of course, honored to have been mentioned, especially among such highly esteemed SimLit Writers.

I wish to express my deepest thanks to the article’s author, Krista!

If you’ve ever wondered what SimLit is, and how to write it, Krista’s article is very informative. You can read it here: The Sims 4 Stories Guide: Creating Your Own Exciting SimLit.

Krista is a long time Simmer and Sims Community Staff. You’ll usually find her hanging out in the Sims Community News Discord, in-game or creating articles!

You can find all of Krista’s articles HERE!

A special thanks to Krista for writing such a thoroughly good article about SimLit, and also for giving Old Stone a shout out!

Have a blessed day and thank you, dear readers, for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting!

  1. Congratulations! I was unfamiliar with SimLit prior to this post but I know a lot about writing stories based off of DnD and LARPing sessions and I image that it’s somewhat similar. If so, that’s a big deal, girl!

  2. Well, look at you girlfriend, our meticulous SimLit extraordinaire! Honestly, I didn’t know that such a word existed for your specialty. A fist bump for learning something new today! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 What an honor Kymber and congratulations. Stand tall chickiepie and be proud! How FANtabulous! 🤗🥂🥰💐😍

    1. I just twirled and curtsied. Or maybe it was just in my head. LOLOLOL

SimLit started out as Sims Literature and there is a huge community of people who write it. Over time, it’s been shortened to SimLit (or some call it SimsLit). Anyway, it is so fun to do because you’re playing a game and hilarious things happen.

I was writing a story once using my Sims to illustrate, and I swear a meteor came out of nowhere and wiped out my house and family! Don’t worry, there was no gore. haha So, I didn’t save and played again… that darn meteor hit three times before I gave up. LOL

Thanks for the fist bump; I, of course, gave one back. 😀 And, girl, YOU are fantabulous! 🤍🌺🤍🌺

      1. I simply love your lighthearted and creative humor Kymber. 😜 Cheers to you my Queen of SimLit! Oh, and watch out for any sudden meteors! 🌠🌠🌠 Hugs and smooches my chickiepie! 🤩🥂🤗

        1. LOL 😀 I’m blushing now. I’m really so glad you’re enjoying the story so far. Regarding the meteors… I know that’s right! LOL Hugs and smooches to you, chickiepotpie. 😀 🤍🌺😘❌⭕

  3. My own opinion is you should be honored for the recognition you received. BUT…they should be even more honored to have your stories to publish! They are all well written and good reading. Kind of nice human interest and thought provoking at the same time. And, I like them.

Don't be shy! Give commenting a try! 🩷🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🌺
