Get to Know You #43

Feel free to use this image on your own site!

Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts!

So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.

Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!

Round #43:

  1. If you were a dog, what breed would you be?
  2. If you could be invisible, whose conversations would you like to overhear?
  3. Have you ever bought something after watching an infomercial?

Here are my answers:

  1. Chihuahua.
  2. This is a hard one because I don’t really want to listen in on anyone. I would like being invisible, though.
  3. Yes. I once bought a headache-hat, and another time, I bought a steamer. lol

To those who celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving!

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

  1. A chihuahua is awfully cute as long as you don’t yap at everything, Kymber. Lol. I’d be a goofy golden retriever. And I agree about overhearing – little good can come from that. And I’m sure I’ve bought something from an infomercial, but I can’t think what. Maybe that’s good! Lol. Thanks for the fun.

    1. Hi, Diana! I’d be a yapping fool. hahaha Okay, maybe not. I loooove golden retrievers. They are so beautiful and fun. They have such special personalities.

I’m so glad you stopped by to play! 🙂

  2. If you were a dog, what breed would you be?

When I was a kid a wanted a Chihuahua and an Irish Wolfhound, never was one for half measures as a kid! But I have had a Doberman, and the breed completely corresponds to my character. My daughter is an Irish Setter, my husband a German Shepherd and my son is some sort of terrier…
If you could be invisible, whose conversations would you like to overhear?
Like you, I prefer not listening in on other people for lots of reasons, one of them is you might hear something you absolutely don’t want to.
Have you ever bought something after watching an infomercial?
Oh, yes. I’m a compulsive shopper, and I’ve bought lots of stuff, usually cosmetics or things that supposedly make you “feel good”. Have a really nice contraption, in a drawer somewhere, that massages your hands…

    1. I love how you named the whole family! This makes me see mine in a new light. LOL 😀

That’s what I wouldn’t like, too, is hearing something I was never meant to hear.

Shopping with you must be so much fun!

Massages your hands? Wow. LOL 😀

Thank you so much for playing! Happy Tuesday!

  3. Fun questions, and I like your answers, Kymber! Mine are:
    1. Jack Russell Terrier. They seem to have lots of fun.
    2. I’d be curious about a variety of conversations, as I can’t think of a particular person whom I’d want to overhear.
    3. I watched a long video on YouTube about Flex Seal, and a long time later I bought a can of it at a hardware store.

    1. Thank you, Dave.

      1. That is a fun dog breed! You’re right, they do seem to have lots of fun.
      2. I’m with you on that!
      3. LOLOL There you go.

Thanks so much for playing! Happy Tuesday!

  4. Happy Thanksgiving! Hope all has been good for you and family today.
Fun questions! I enjoyed reading your answers.
    Mine would be:
A Basset Hound dog. I’ve had a few over the years and they fit my personality almost exactly. Kind of lazy, very friendly, and a bit goofy. haha
It would be fun to be invisible sometimes. I’d like to eavesdrop on everybody, whenever I felt like it. I could hear some interesting conversations that way.
No, we don’t watch infomercials and I wouldn’t watch those shopping channels either. We barely even know how to do Amazon. 🙂

    1. Thank you. Thanksgiving was a lovely time with the fam. I didn’t even have to put any Prozac in the turkey! 😀 lol

I love basset hounds! They are wonderful companions. Remember “Flash” from the Duke’s of Hazzard, back in the day? lol

You are so right about listening in on convos.:D

      LOL Very good. 😀

Thanks so much for playing! Happy Tuesday!

  5. If I was a dog it would be a blue heeler, used here in Australia as sheep dogs. They are smart, loyal and very hard workers. Wouldn’t own one though they need large parks and lots of activity.
what conversation? No one’s, for three reasons, their topic is most likely meaningless to me, or to intimate to warrant eavesdropping or if it’s was about me and unkind how could I be a friend anymore.
What is an infomercial, I can’t even watch commercial tv because the advertising drives me insane.

    1. Blue heelers are so smart! Thank you for telling me a little bit about them. I enjoyed learning.

I like your 3 reasons and I concur.

Oh, the informercial. LOLOLOL Well, they’re pretty boring if you ask me. I hate commercial TV, too.

Thanks so much for playing! Happy Tuesday!

  6. Interesting questions.
    1. A Jack Russell. They’re my favourite breed.
    2. I love the idea of being invisible, and there are so many conversations I’d like to listen in on!
    3. I’ve never bought anything from watching an infomercial. Maybe I should!

      1. Jack Russells are amazing!
      2. Oooh, the things you would know if you were invisible.
      3. LOL If you can sit through the boredom, go for it! LOL 😀

Thank you so much for playing! Happy Tuesday!

  7. Probably an Irish Setter: long, hairy, and slightly bonkers.
I am not sure I would want to overhear conversations not involving me. Having said all that, I would like to have heard the twisted talk my various secondary school teachers had to ensure my latter years in school were absolute hell.
Not in the slightest, they usually have the opposite intended effect on me.

    1. hahahaha! The Irish Setter sounds like a lot of fun!

Oh dear, no one should feel that way about school. Sorry you went through that.

      Makes sense.

Thanks so much for playing! Happy Tuesday!

  8. Q1: Pomeranian dog. Because they’re utterly spoiled. I once visited a breeder who also had Pomeranians. There were 6 of them all around me, eager for cuddles. Except one, who the breeder said, in his head he’s a Doberman (typical small dog behaviour), and he’ll never come to greet you. Guess what, 10 minutes later, he came by to get a (short) cuddle. The breeder was flabbergasted, saying he never does this, ever. So, I guess I’m a Pomeranian ☺️
Q2: Listen to a very important international politician meeting. Just to know, what they really think about us people.
Q3: Nah, never happened, because I can’t stand watching this type of commercial for longer than two minutes.

Always a pleasure Kymber to answer your questions ☺️

    1. I love poms, they are so precious. 🙂 And that is a great story! You are the dog whisperer!

Yessss, that would be a very good use for listening in.

      I know what you mean.

      Thanks so much! Happy Tuesday!

  9. Happy Thanksgiving to you!!
Challenging questions, this time. Let’s see.
    1. Irish Setter (I’m a redhead)
    2. I’m like you, mostly. I usually choose “invisibility” if someone asks me what “superpower” I would pick. But who would I want to eavesdrop on? Old couples sitting on park benches! (I know some would consider me “old,” but “old” is twenty years older than me – LOL)
    3. I don’t think I have ever bought anything from an infomercial, but I have bought something after watching a presentation in a store.

    1. Thank you, Jeff! I hope you had a lovley weekend!

      1. Ah, I see. Great dog!
      2. LOL I love it!
      3. That is virtually the same thing, if you ask me. lol

Thanks so much for playing! Happy Tuesday!

          1. I have a funny story about that. When I lived in California on a friend’s ranch, I got to go horseback riding. I was also chased by a goose. The friend had me take care of her chickens, cleaning the coop, I also fed them and the horse and ducks. She told me if the goose ever attacked me, to make my hand into the shape of a goose and basically thrust my hand toward the goose as in “back off!” Needless to say, this did not work. I don’t remember why the goose was so pissed at me, but I was chased by a goose. I ran! Ever since, I have a bias. I don’t like them. You can’t blame me. Look at them with their beady little eyes.😱
