Get to Know You #41

Feel free to use this image on your own site!

Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts!

So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.

Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!

Round #41:

  1. What are you grateful for today?
  2. What’s your favorite kind of weather?
  3. What’s your take on dressing up pets in costumes?

Here are my answers:

  1. My sisters.
  2. Sunny, but cool; Autumn weather.
  3. I had a little Pomeranian once and dressed him in sweaters during the winter. But we don’t dress our cats or anything. We value our lives. LOL

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

  1. I am grateful for my afternoon with the Wheelie One.
Either early spring when it is sunny and warm but not too hot, and everything is coming into bloom, or the tail end of autumn with all the yellows and browns. I quite enjoy walking the dogs early evening at this time of year as the low-level fog in the park gives a Hammer film vibe.
Not a fan. I once tried to put a Christmas sweater on Missy-Dog, and she looked as miserable as sin wearing it.

  2. What are you grateful for today? There is currently a surge in new volunteers joining Citizens Climate Lobby. I am on the welcome committee so it is a lot of work, but I am grateful for all the new members.

What’s your favorite kind of weather? Sunny and around 70 to 80 degrees, like today. Except when we go skiing in Colorado, the I want it cold.

What’s your take on dressing up pets in costumes? Our mini-Australian Shepherd was a vampire/Dracula for Halloween. He is OK with dressing up as long as you don’t put a hat on him. He hates hats. So we don’t put a hat on him.

  3. Very interesting answers.
I’m grateful for my cats who keep me company as I write.
I love autumn when the weather starts getting crisp.
I’m not one for dressing pets up unless they like it and are happy to.

  4. I’m grateful for many blessings but I thing good health is at the top of the list.
My favorite weather is sunny warm days and cool nights.
We do’t dress our pets but I enjoy the clever costumes on other’s.

  5. I missed doing this while moving. Here goes:
    Being alive
A cool breeze gently blowing autumn leaves with a clear blue sky
I don’t like it anymore than they do.

    1. I’m glad you’re here, KC.

For sure. That is a terrific reason to be grateful!

      Yesssss, that is the best!

      LOL Good point!

Thank you for playing! Happy Thursday!

  6. 1) My recent personal growth

    2) Tie between mild spring days (if there’s no pollen) and thunderstorms.

    3) Against, unless it’s putting a sweater on to keep the dog warm on a cold day. Too much of it nowadays seems to be solely about the pet owner’s vanity and need for attention.

    1. 1) Wonderful! That’s definitely something to be grateful for.

      2) That’s lovely. I do like thunderstorms. Except the other night a tornado touched down 2 blocks over from me. Everyone is all right, thankfully.

      3) That’s a good point. Sometimes dogs need some help staying warm.

Thank you for playing! Happy Thursday!

  7. Today I am grateful for love. The kind of love that is able to even love those who are perceived (or perceive me) as “enemies.” I could write a long time about this (and sometimes do in my own blog). I pray, daily, that I can be a person who loves like this.
Real fall weather is my favorite. Cool (not cold) temperatures, and I even like a cloudy day with a slow, gentle rain.
I don’t personally dress my pets in costumes, but don’t object to others who do it. Loki the cat (loki.doestricks on Instagram) apparently brings costumes to his owner and asks to have them put on himself.

    1. That’s wonderful, Jeff. May we all strive to love that way.

Same! Autumn is the best. We’re getting into some pretty gray skies here right now.

I love Loki the Cat! LOL Isn’t that funny that he wants to be dressed up? I love it!

Thank you so much for playing!
