October Reading Wrap-Up!

I hope you’re having a wonderful week, Kind Friends! And I also hope the month of September was good to you!

In my neck of the woods (the Great Lakes Area in the US), it’s been hot and humid, but then we had some days in there that felt like an early Autumn. How has it been for you?

Well, without further ado, here is my progress for October:

As of September 27, 2024
I read 11 books in September. And I am 3 books behind schedule in the Goodreads Reading Challenge.

Next up, I want to read Finding Me: An Estranged Sisters New Adult Romance Novel (The Defiant Sisters Duet Book 2) by Jacquie Biggar!

I really want to read all of Jacqui Murray’s books!

And I want to finish the Ghost Trapper series. There are so many of them, though.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022-) Season 2Only Murders in the Building (2021-) Season 4
Sleepy Hollow (1999, Day 1)The Frighteners (1996, Day 2)
Movies with arrows were seen in the theater.

This month, The Mister and I did 30 Days of Halloween where we watched a horror movie every night in October!

Some exciting movies still coming in 2024 are The Crow and Nosferatu with Bill SkarsgΓ₯rd. Other movies I’m looking forward to are, Beetlejuice 2Joker: Folie Γ  Deux, and Wicked Part 1.

What did you read in October, and what was your favorite?

What did you watch, and what did you think about it?

May your day, and the month of November, bring you blessings and joy!

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

  1. Hi Kymber, I’ve been listening to The Source by Tara Swart audiobook since watching her appearance on the Theo Vonn podcast. I tried to watch Only Murderers in the Building on Amazon, but just couldn’t get into it. I just finished re-watching Game of Thrones to see what I missed from watching the series years ago.

  2. I saw the 2nd Joker movie yesterday. It was fine. Too much music and I hated the ending. It would’ve been a masterpiece if it was not a musical and the ending was completely different.

  3. Bravo KymberNoodle! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ You had a very productive month my dear! Happy HallπŸŽƒween my ChickiePie! πŸ€—πŸ‘»πŸ˜

  4. Currently reading Neuromancer by William Gibson, Sgt. Cluff Stands Firm by Gil North, Dead Drunk: A collection of supernatural short-stories related to alcohol, edited by Martin Edwards, and just about to start the fifth Vinyl Detective novel.

Recently watched Beetlejuice 2 and quite enjoyed it. Planning on seeing Joker and Venom.

  5. I only read nine books in October, but I’m three books ahead of my goal of 102 (I track in both Goodreads and StoryGraph, and for some reason, GR says I’m four books ahead). I think my favorite book of October was Finlay Donovan is Killing It. Red Side Story, by Jasper Fforde was pretty good, too, though, and The Secret History of Las Vegas was one of the more bizarre books I’ve ever read. I’m currently reading The Romanov Sisters: The Lost lives of the Daughters of Nicholas and Alexandra, by Helen Rappaport.

  6. I watch horror movies by myself – hubby wants no part of it, lol. I did a rewatch of Misery – hadn’t seen it in years! I usually watch The Exorcist, but haven’t been able to catch it this year.

  7. I love reading it is my favourite hobby, I am reading nothing at the moment but will start a new book today, probably a true crime book called, I hear voices, by Ryan green.
