Get to Know You #37

Hello and happy timezones, kind friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts!

So, it’s time. Come sit on my porch for a spell. Tea, lemonade and refreshments will be served shortly.

Here are 3 questions! Let’s go!

Here is round #37:

  1. What would you do if you woke up one morning and could read minds?
  2. What is something that always makes you smile?
  3. If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be?

Here are my answers:

  1. I would stay home. It’s bad enough I have to listen to my own thoughts.
  2. The 3 Littles in my life.
  3. These are vastly different from each other but I’d choose Anne of Green Gables or Star Trek.

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. xo

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

  1. Listening to your cats thoughts is a great idea. Humans are too complicated, some deranged, emotionally damaged and anger filled people. Who would want that in their head!

  2. Hahaha bad enough to have to listen to your own thoughts, I like that! I’m glad you have the “3 Littles” (so sweet) in your life to make you smile, to bring you some joy and hope even just thinking about them. Interesting choices for a TV/movie to live in. I’m not sure what I’d go for but it certainly wouldn’t be Jaws! xx

    1. Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaz! Oh, how I’ve missed you, gf! xo

LOLOLOL No, I definitely wouldn’t pick Jaws either! 😀 😀 You made me laugh, and for that, I thank you!

  4. Here we go, 1. I would go to a high stakes poker tournament. 2. Spending time with loved ones. 3. I’d hang around with Nick and Nora Charles.

  5. This is a tough one. I definitely would not be happy being able to read peoples’ minds. Like you, I think I’d just hibernate. My own mind is enough. Something that ALWAYS makes me smile is when someone leaves a positive review for one of my books. There’s nothing like it! If I could live in a book, TV show or movie, I would choose to live on Colt Layne’s ranch in my book Saddled Hearts!

    1. Right? I agree with you 100%!

I can see why that makes you smile. That is an awesome thing!

I love that you have created a world you want to live in. xo 🌺

  6. Your response to the first question makes perfect sense. It would get awfully noisy if we could hear what everyone around us was thinking! On the other hand, I’d love to know my husband’s thoughts. He’s the strong, silent type. 😆

Dogs will always make me smile. 💖

Your third question is a toughie! 🤔 I’d rather write my own book, teleplay or screenplay than live in someone else’s world. That said, I really like Stars Hollow, the small town from The Gilmour Girls, as well as the characters, and could see myself there. Fun fact: The sets for Stars Hollow were modelled after Unionville, Ontario (~40 miles NE of here), where the pilot episode was filmed.

    1. Hi, Debbie. Thank you. That would be so cool to know your husband’s thoughts.

      Same here! 😀

I think that is an amazing response! I think creating my own world would be so cool! And that’s so neat about The Gilmour Girls.

Thank you so much for playing! Happy Saturday! 🙂

  7. Q1: Move to the most remote place humanely possible like the Moon or Mars, because I don’t want to know what’s going on in someone else’s mind.
    Q2: My Corgi
Q3: The Matrix – (1999) Yeah, I take the blue pill and make me a Rockstar 😎

Always a pleasure Kymber. Have a marvellous day 🌞

    1. Q1: Yes, that sounds like a plan! I feel the same way.
Q2: Oh, how I love Corgis. So adorable. That would make me smile, too.
Q3: Such a cool answer! Yes to the Rockstar! 😀

Thank you, Chris. I hope you’re having a great weekend!

  8. I like how different your picks are for question 3 — shows what a stretch of worlds that you enjoy 🙂 My answers:

I’d take a walk and listen to other people’s thoughts, then get overwhelmed. Along the lines of your answer, Kymber. All those thoughts would be too much.
Seeing dogs when I take walks 🙂
I cheated and Googled this because I was coming up blank on ideas. I found a list of possibilities, and I agree with the guy who answered “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” All that chocolate? Yes, please.

    1. Thank you, Dave!

      1. I can only imagine how overwhelming that would be! You’re braver than I am to even go out at all.
      2. That’s lovely. Makes me smile, too.
      3. Great answer! Yes, please, here, too! 😀

Great answers, Dave! Thank you for playing.

  9. Cool answers, especially number 3. How come you’d choose those two? I’m really curious since they’re so different from each other.

    1. Thank you so much, AM. Well, Anne of Green Gables is somewhere I’ve wanted to be ever since I first read the books as a young teen. It was so beautiful, and life was slower. And Anne appreciated and noticed so much about the world around her. It pulls my heartstrings. lol

Star Trek is something my dad and I watched in reruns every night after dinner. I thought when I grew up, we’d be living Star Trek. lol I wanted to be Uhuru sooo badly.

  10. Hi Kymber, I very much doubt I would want to know what goes on in many people’s minds. It’s quite a scary thought. It brings to mind the book by Stephen King called The Dead Zone. Have you read it?

  11. I like your answers

What would you do if you woke up one morning and could read minds? Like you said, is this something you manage. I can imagine that listening to lots of people’s thought could drive someone bonkers. However, if it is possible to do selectively I would seek out the minds of the people in charge of our world and see what is up and see if I could do something about it.
What is something that always makes you smile? Dogs
If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be? Interstellar after they solved the riddle of gravitation.

  12. I love your answers! Here are mine:
    1. What would you do if you woke up one morning and could read minds? Like you said, I’d stay home—way too crazy out there.
    2. What is something that always makes you smile? A nice cup of coffee in the morning.
    3. If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be? Definitely a book, and it would be The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende. That wonderful book pulled me into her world, and she’s the only author who can transport me so completely into each of her stories.

    1. Thank you, Edward!

      1. Crazy out there is right! lol
      2. Oh, yes! Same here!
      3. That’s awesome! She is a wonderful author!

Thank you so much for playing! I loved your answers!

  13. What would you do if you woke up one morning and could read minds? I think I would be closer to understanding what The Producer is thinking. Not why, just what.
What is something that always makes you smile? The sight of my pups playing.
If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be? I would like to live in the old show The Millionaire. I would be the guy giving out the checks for the rich donor John Baresford Tifften

  14. 😆 love your answers as always Kymber! And feel you on the “staying home” part of reading minds! Haha 🤣 coming back to this when I have some answers prepared lol 🩷

    1. Thank you, Laura! I think it’s best if we all just stay home if that happens. LOLOLOL

All righty! No worries. Thank you for stopping by! And Happy Birthday!

  15. Fun questions, and I like your answers.
    My answers are:
    1. I think it would be really fun to read minds. I already kind of can, or at least I’m very perceptive in reading other people’s feelings and things that are going on beneath the surface. I’ve been told I’m kind of psychic that way.
    2. Kittens make me smile every time I see one, a real one, awww, or in a picture or video.
    3. If I could live in a book it would be my fan fiction story. I’ve known these people (characters) since 1993 and know everyone well. The town is small, and the people are friendly. .. For a TV town too, I’d live in Mayberry (Andy Griffith Show) for the same reason.

    1. Thank you! 🙂
      1. That’s really cool! You sound like a natural!
      2. Oh, yes, me, too!
      3. Mayberry would be so sweet to live in. And I love your fan fiction!

Thank you so much for playing! Your answers were fun!

  16. What would you do if you woke up one morning and could read minds? – That would be awesome! I’d first read my kids minds so I could understand what all of the fits are about! LOL! If that was too much, then just stay at home, because… if I can’t control it, that sounds like a migraine waiting to happen.

What is something that always makes you smile? – All kinds of things! Doesn’t take much, honestly 🙂

If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be? – The Big Bang Theory! Seems like Penny could use a friend. LOL!

    1. It sure does, Kay! LOL That’s a good idea about reading the kids’ minds, though.

      Same here. 🙂

      Awww she sure could!

Thank you so much for playing! Loved your answers!

  17. Become a hermit and live far away from people.
    My two cats
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe… CS Lewis

  18. Such great questions! Here are my answers:

I don’t think I’d want to read minds – I dread to think what goes through the minds of some people!
    My two beautiful cats.
The Wizard of Oz. I thought it was the most amazing film and place to go when I was a girl.

    1. That’s how I feel about it, too, Esther.
That’s awesome! I bet they are so much fun!
Ooooh, I should have listed that one, too. It’s my all-time favorite movie!

Thank you so much for playing! I really enjoyed your answers!
