The Blog Tag

I just got tagged by Thomas at Leonberger Life for “The Blog Tag.” This is his last post. I haven’t been tagged in a long time, and I have to remember how it works but as I understand I should tag other people by linking to their website. I am also linking to their last post to generate a pingback because I don’t know how you would know otherwise. I selected some random fellow bloggers who I thought might find these kinds of games amusing but I certainly don’t expect anyone to participate. It is only if you feel so inclined. However, the opposite is also true, if you want to do it, tell me and I will add you. Below are the people I picked.

If you have been tagged (or want to be tagged) and want to participate then you answer the six questions below. My answers are included below.

How did you come up with your blog name?

It’s more about the domain name for me. It’s actually what someone sings in the background of a song I like… “boomcha boomcha.” 🎢🎡 lol I spell it with 3 “o’s” instead of 2 because someone already had it with 2. As for Story Spinner, my dad came up with that and said I should see how it works out.

If your blog was a person (fiction or real), who would it be?

It would be my sweetest baby boy Cesare😺. He was the best friend anyone could ever need or ask for, and I called him my “Chief of Cheesy Writing.”

What helps you create new content if you feel like you need some inspiration?

Mostly my home life with all the noise, joy and laughter around here. Anyone? lol

Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?

I love collaborations. I would definitely be open to more collaborations in the future.

Is there anything more you wish you had or would like to learn as a blogger?

I wish I understood SEO better. I can code my site, and do all kinds of things, but SEO makes me feel out of my depth.

Do you have a specific style of blogging?

I think my favorite times blogging are when the content is funny. But I have a lot of serious moments as well. As for my content, this was strictly a SimLit blog when I began, but over the years, I’ve spread out into other stories, poetry as well.

Happy timezones, Friends! Special thanks to Thomas for tagging me!

  1. There used to be a lot of these “awards” and tags making the rounds, at time, like the daily prompt. All to promote wider readership. It worked for me and others. I no longer participate though. Happy Tuesday Kymber. Allan

  2. Thank you Kymber for tagging me. Your answers rock. The jury’s still out if I participate or not. We’ll see πŸ€” Have a marvellous day 🌞

    1. No worries at all πŸ™‚ I never know who to tag in these things. At one point a few years ago, I was saying, “I didn’t tag anyone but if you want to do it, consider yourself tagged.” LOL

Thank you. I hope you have a marvelous day, too!🌸

  3. Oh, this was something new. I’m participating but it’s gonna be a challenging post. I wonder if I can do it half-way? Answer the questions but don’t tag anybody else? I feel like I’m gonna spend the whole day blogging otherwise πŸ˜‚.

I will try my best, though. Do I have to come up with questions of my own for the people tagged to answer?

    1. You can do your post however you like, as long as it’s fun for you. Honestly, I don’t like tagging people because some people like it and some don’t and I don’t know which category people fall in most of the time. LOL

No, they’re supposed to answer the questions in the post, but do what you like with. Either way, it will be great!

  4. Love your answers, Kymber! πŸ™‚ I was curious about the three ‘o’s. And, no surprise that Cesare would be your blog’s representative, since he was the ‘Chief of Cheesy Writing’ πŸ˜€ From personal experience, I can say that SEO is a pain-in-the-ass, and, unless your website is for conducting business, not worth the hassle. A professional blogger took me under her wing when I was starting out, so I learned all about that stuff. Thomas tagged me as well, and I responded too. Cheers! πŸ₯‚

    1. Thank you, Debbie! I forgot Thomas also tagged you! πŸ˜€ I’m glad I don’t really have to worry about SEO. I really can’t put my brain around it all right now. LOL

I saw your response and I loved it! Happy Day!🌸

      1. I think SEO interferes with creativity to some extent. There are certain protocols to follow, and that can be stifling. Thanks for reading and commenting on my post as well! πŸ™‚

    1. This is great, Big Buddy! I added you and the Budster to the list! Can’t wait to see how you respond. πŸ™‚ I’m glad you enjoy the posts from the feline overlords. lol Happy Wednesday. 🌸

  5. This was such a great read, it’s interesting how our blogs evolve over the years and we begin covering more topics. And thanks so much for tagging me, I haven’t done one of these in ages and I’m excited to share my answers soon.

  6. Thank you so much Kymber for doing the tag. Your answers were very interesting. I love that if your blog was a person it would be Cesare. I took a look at the other blogs you tagged.

  7. Awww thank you for tagging me, Kymber! 🩷 I love your responses – especially the one about Cesare πŸ˜‡ πŸˆβ€β¬› so sweet. I agree on the home life and humor, it’s the best blogging material – and authentic which is what people resonate with the most. 😊 I always wondered where β€œbooomcha” came from! πŸ™

  8. I love how your dad helped you to create the blog name, Kymber. The blog tagging is fun. The last round of tags I got, I was tagged seven times within a week. I decided not to participate anymore because I ran out of time doing my regular blog posts.

    1. I know what you mean, Miriam. I stopped doing them a while back due to the same reason. It doesn’t bother me if any of the tagged people decide not to do it. πŸ˜€ πŸπŸ‚πŸ§‘ I hope you’re having a great Tuesday!

    1. Thank you, Jacqui. I used to do them in the past then stopped for a long time. Then, because this one wasn’t doing one of those peer awards, I decided to go ahead and throw it out there. lol
