The Haunting of Her Existence
Alone in shadows, she sits in fright,
bound by chains of sorrow and fear,
grief whispers through the veil of night,
a specter lingers, a ghost so near.
In the bedroom of her tormented soul,
the skeleton’s presence takes its toll.

Beautiful poem and symbolism Kymber. We are all haunted in one way or another, I think. Happy unhaunted Monday. Allan
LOL Thank you, Allan. I agree with you. A haunting could be anything from your past; it doesn’t have to mean an actual ghost.
Happy unhaunted Monday to you, too!
Beautiful and haunting, Kymber! This image struck me as well 🩷 love what you did with it! 😊

Very atmospheric, Kymber — and… well, haunting. Hugs.
Thank you so much, Teagan. I’m glad you stopped by.
“bedroom of her tormented soul”–what an image in my mind.
Thank you, Jacqui. I’m glad you could picture it.
I like your poem to go with the picture. Never mind actual chains, a person can feel chained down by sorrow and fear and the ghosts of things that happened in the past just as much.. 🙂
Yes, when I wrote this, I was trying to conjure up a picture of depression. 🙂 Thank you so much for your kind words. I agree with you.
Really nice, Kymber! Such a great image. I’ve been looking to see who would choose it!
LOLOL This image struck me right away. But I posted the other one instead. Then Kevin encouraged me to post another one since I liked the picture in this post. And there you have it.
I’m glad you liked it. 🙂
Ah, so glad Kevin encouraged you!
He’s good at that sort of thing, isn’t he? lol 🌸
